How come in the Dell website..the price is
RM 2,899...but then they include
"Price incl. RM400 Instant Cash Redemption
RM3,015 Price incl. Instant Cash Redemption and Delivery "..means that no free delivery?????????

The Vista Home premium only 32bit??????? 64bit one got ah?

Ok my question is..

Should I upgrade the processor to Core 2 Duo T5500? with 1.66GHz, 2mb Cache and 667 FSB? have to add RM178 oh... does the bus speed upgrade make alot of difference?

Should I upgrade the 2gb 533Mhz to 2gb 667Mhz? is the speed increase also significant? does the core2duo processor T5300 support 2gb 667Mhz RM DDR2? Please any kind soul..advise...especially Steven Tan.

I managed to get it at a price of RM3683...I talked to the SA, QUINN...I kept asking for discount but she just gave me a waive fee for the delivery..cos she kept saying now their offer 2gb is really worth it..and she cant reduce the price anymore...so after a few times asking for freebies..in the end i just ordered...so now im waiting for the lappie! Hope u get a better deal than me dude....

Yeap, I know..but what to do..I think its still cheaper with a good intel core2duo processor and good graphic card...other brands need at least RM4k to have those two options...and somemore now DELL has 2gb promotion..so might as well buy now la..I really should have bought during PC FAIR..the thing is..my 1st lappie got stolen after PC FAIR...so geram..haiz...stolen from car.. so now have to buy new one lo..somemore so ngam after PC FAIR...

I just got my DELL Inspiron 6400 yesterday!!! hehe so so happy..so so nice..DELL is nice!! so now..thinking...of buying external HDD..which brand is better ah? hitachi is for performance?really ah? then should i get a sata ext HDD to usb 2.0 to connect to my lappie? but usb 2.0 will limit the sata speed rite?

what does it mean by hard disc (PATA)?

planning to buy cooler master notebook cooler also..but i heard if run with USB very lousy..need adapter ka?

Oh..take hitachi better ah? hmm okok..cos WD used to be a famous hard disc brand..hitachi is quite new brand rite? Dun think im gonna change the default 80GB hard disc in my inspiron 6400...planning to buy at least a 120 gb one...then just connect it to the lappie as an extra external hard disc...but should i get a SATA external hard disc? as i said..i dun think i want to install it into my laptop..just using it as an external device...will SATA be worth it?...cos seems USB 2.0 will still limit the SATA Fast speed transfer rite? since sata (from external HDD) to USB 2.0 (to my lappie)...thanks for clarifying what PATA is..

Yeap..my fren who bought a cooler master 2 fan notepad cooler told me at 1st he used USB..then he said the fan not powerful...so he bought an adapter for the cooler master W1 model..then he say now fan more powerful...but he din test the temperature difference la....

Another fren of mine also told me he bought the same cooler master notepad cooler...he said..only made a 1 degree reduction in his lappie... dunno if it really works a not..this cooler master notepad cooler..the W1 model..

I see..that is firewire..just did a bit of research But i heard its only for those digital video cameras...its IEEE 1394..can I plug in a notebook hard disc? does the current notebook 2.5 inch hard disc support this firewire?

Oh yeah..i just bought the ZALMAN cooling pad for my DELL lappie like u suggested steven..hehe..but too bad the holes are situated below the lappie...where the battery is..so doesnt really have any use..but i can push the laptop down so that it blows to the ram and hard disc part..hehe..overall it really cools down my lappie..hehe 10/10 for ZALMAN COOLING PAD!!

haha...i see i see..then u should get that ZALMAN too..it has the rubber grip so that ur notebook doesnt fall...i have taken off the battery cos i use A/C power most of the time..and it doesnt fall from the ZALMAN..its very stable..hehe

I have a very old webcam from CREATIVE...and it doesnt work with VISTA...i put the installation CD into my inspiron 6400 and it does autoplay..but i cant click anything..there should be drivers there for me to install...and since its so old..driver support has been discontinued...i want to use it with my new lappie..is there anyway i can install the drivers into VISTA so that i can use this webcam?

NHC seems to work strangely on my DELL....vista blocks the startup program..i wonder why..will NHC damage my computer?
