pistons is more well rounded i think.... i think pistons will advance too

well, for west, i think boozer vs duncan will be an interesting match ups... i think that kirilenko is the x-factor, if he can play well, jazz might have a chance, and deron williams to able to match the speed of tony parker.

The x-factor for Cavs is Larry hughes....vince carter n rip hamilton has a way different type of game style....i dont think pavlovic cant guard rip same as he guard VC. Cavs must stop billups first..then they can win the game.

Added on May 19, 2007, 11:16 pmBecause VC move with the ball..while Rip without the ball...n Rip is known as one of the best off screen shooter after Reggie Miller.

cant say leh. I know Spurs are playing hot basketball but if Jazz could get the Booze to dominate like he did early on, we have got a series and as for Detroit vs Cavs, LeBron may be sucking his thumb  laugh.gif

Boozer would not dominate the Spurs front line.
On the other hand, TD has a history of wreaking havoc against the Jazz.
I still remember TD's rookie season, he really gave then powerful Jazz (Stockton & Malone) fits, averaging 30ppg & 10+rpg during that series in a losing effort.
Later, the Spurs won their 1st championship the following season.

IMHO, Billups is arguably the best point guard not named Kidd or Nash. He dictates the tempo of the game.

While Rip Hamilton is a duracell bunny. He keeps moving all the time. Running through multiple screens set by his teammates. Usually it's he who wears the defender down, not the opposite.

yeah..he maybe not as flashy as nash...or all rounder game like kidd..but he use what he has efficiently..for example his body strength..he can easily post up most of his defender..

Yeah..rip is tireless player....u need a good defender like bruce bowen(yeah he's dirty..i know) to guard him. Even Kobe also cant guard Rip..but actually if they face Lakers..Kobe will take Billups...because there's no way Smush can handle billups ;p

And he's the last guy you want to send to the FT line with the game on the line.
Cos he hits almost 90% throughout his career.
So basically, with time running out & Pistons with the lead. They only need to successfully in-bound the ball to Billups.

heard that he becomes a free agent this summer.... maybe he gives out the "SELL ME PLS" signal?

--------

and about billups, i think he is like the PG of Tim Duncan, solid performance but not flashy... only huge games showed his value, just like Spurs vs Suns game 6, Duncan is so MVP...

Carter Hints He'll Be Back With Jersey

Nets coach Lawrence Frank, hurting from another playoff defeat, said it wasn't time just yet to talk about next year. But some players, including Vince Carter, made their intentions known. And Carter thinks he'll be back in New Jersey.

"We'll see what happens," said Carter, who can opt out of the final year of his deal worth $16-plus million and become a free agent. "But I definitely see myself (back). I fit in well; we built something special the three of us - myself, J-Kidd (Jason Kidd) and R.J. (Richard Jefferson) Getting (Nenad) Krstic back, Mikki (Moore) and Boki (Nachbar), we have a great nucleus of guys, I'd like to keep them together."

Moore has been everywhere, from New Jersey to Boston to Utah to Seattle and points in between. And after getting a return ticket to New Jersey for another chance to play for the Nets, he said he hopes his wandering days are over.

Horry Says He Wants To Play Another Year

Robert Horry didn't think his 15-year NBA career was in danger of ending with his recent two-game suspension because he doesn't plan on it ending after this season.

After saying earlier in the season he was leaning toward retiring, Horry said Saturday he'd like to postpone those plans and return to the Spurs.

"I've already decided I'm coming back, hopefully," Horry said. "It all depends on what goes on here."

Larry Brown To Rockets?

The Mavericks may be closer to losing one of their assistant coaches, but won't be losing their head coach.

The minute Houston dismissed coach Jeff Van Gundy, it was certain that Avery Johnson's name would pop up in the rumor mill.

But apparently, there's nothing to it, as the Rockets appear close to hiring either Rick Adelman or Larry Brown as Van Gundy's successor.

imho, rockets is not a run-and-gun team and not very suitable to play small-ball which is now famous... i think larry brown is more suitable instead of rick, because larry brown emphasize on defense too, but i do hope that rockets has more offensive attacks, because... rockets playing style is damn boring!

I personally think Rockets is a rubbish team. Flame me or whatever but that is my personal opinion. T-Mac is a great player no doubt but he has yet to drag his team to victory in the playoffs. Tough luck with his crap team, maybe but with Yao Ming, i believe we have the most celebrated -overrated centre ever. Sorry, I just dont believe Rockets is good enough. Until they win something, proof me wrong.

And guys, Astro showing game 1 of Utah vs San Antonio at 3.30 am Monday

I'm sad because of The Suns cannot go through to the final. Steve Nash is just too good to be true, man. He can get 3 points whenever he want. But too bad, they can overcome The Spurs.

Thorn Wants To Keep Kidd And Carter

Rod Thorn said Saturday that both Jason Kidd and Vince Carter are likely to be back next season despite speculation that one or both could be used as bait to reel in younger, less expensive talent.

But Kidd's play during the postseason convinced Thorn that he's too valuable to get rid of, which is why Thorn said the chances that he'd include the point guard in any deal were "very slim."

"I think his play of the last month just reemphasizes how good this guy is," Thorn said. "Just his effort, his will, his never-say-die attitude - he's one heck of a player."
