Hello guys. Im looking for the cheapest ssd gb/price.
I never use ssd before and this is going to be my first time buying it.
Will be using it mainly for windows 10 OS and 2 games (pubg and rainbow six)

Currently interested in GALAX GAMER L 120GB which cost RM 169 @lelong.com.my.
is there any better alternative or suggestion for gb/price?

thanks

if possible, go for crucial mx500 250gb, myr 339. it's more optimal as you have space for over provisioning to sustain ssd performance.

how about this one https://www.lelong.com.my/transcend-ssd-2-5...7-01-Sale-I.htm ?

is it okay if I buy this? because the read and write is same, maybe cheaper because of brand or reliability?

Crucial MX500 - https://www.lelong.com.my/crucial-ssd-sata-...7-01-Sale-I.htm

afaik transcend mts820s is sata m.2. i'm not sure about this one, due to the general lack of its performance data at review sites. on paper they are usually advertised as the same.

crucial mx500 250gb is myr339 at viewnet. warranty is 5 years.

for mainstream ssds, i think samsung 860evo; alternatively, crucial mx500. (mainly because of longer 5-year warranty period)

Yeah I noticed about that too and realised advertised speed not always true when benchmarked using CrystalDiskMark, etc. Example is Galax Gamer SSD, read and write performance is lower than advertised.
Looks like I will be picking up Crucial MX500 250gb instead. Thanks yeah for the recommendation. smile.gif

usually there is a world of difference between marketing and actual outcomes for ssds and everything else, due to various factors. just take those numbers with a grain of salt.

you're welcome. i believe it will serve you well.

Want to add ssd to my aging laptop. Mainly for windows 10 boot and Dota 2. I'm looking at these 2 SSD;
Sandisk SSD Plus 240gb vs Kingston A400 240gb

Which one better? Are there anymore I should look for? Price range around rm250.
