Guys are there benefits of me combining my laptop's 256GB NVMe SSD with a 1TB Firecuda or should I just go for a 1TB Baraccuda or Baracudda Pro?

I would probably install larger games on the HDD. No budget currently for a 1TB SATA SSD or NVMe.

how much your budget?

high-capacity storage without spend too much, Firecuda seems worth it.

Then don't waste money on the HDD, wait a few months so you can save some money to get 1TB SSD
A Silicon Power 1TB 2.5" SATA SSD is only RM439

I dont think so,unless u want qlc ssd then 2tb for less than 500 is possible in this year.
This year ssd and ram price keep goiing up,so far i dont see any price drop possible, unless the virus totally controlled, and more and more factory production boost.

I also scare,so i just pick up a 1tb mx500 just now..haha
For following weeks or months, those thing only price up until at least Q3 or Q4 or maybe next year Q1 or Q2 to start drop again with new technology-(plc ssd, 96,128,even 192 higher stack nand flash or something else) release.

Buy a PCI-e to NVMe converter card like the picture below then you will be able to get full PCI-e 3.0 X4 speed of your SX8200 Pro
Install the card into the second X16 slot on your motherboard

hi sHawTY,
is it better to get PCI-e 3.0 x16 for a nvme ssd or it's just overkill, x4 is more than enough?
btw can we just clone the existing hdd OS to the new ssd to save the hassle of reinstalling everything?
if do, what is the recommended software to do so?
Thx
