Finally after a long wait,my fnhon has arrived, choosing maximum portability i opt for the smaller 16 inch, standby a dimpa bag, it fits like gloves. ride stiffness is excellent, small n nimble bike.
I choose the silver chrome color which is very eyes catching, i need to ride it for some times before i can judge what is the comfortable speed it can traverse in a day.
I have got plan to bring it to overseas with me..if this works i will skip a brompton.

that's the reason why i always cycle solo instead of joining group. I get much peace of mind riding myself.
Anyway i am pulling trigger on a brompton, but i don't know if i want to buy used at RM5k or new which cost RM1.5k more....headache.

I am using B and riding to work daily for commuting ,6K is worth for me in my view.
previously before purchase i tried mit cycle which is quite similar.now have another choice 3sixty sweat.gif
Somehow 16in is like magic for me

one of the issue i have with B is that i gotta carry it with me all over places, too expensive, with fnhon, i just lock it outside if i want to, even if stolen, no heart sick. even if i want to carry it around not too heavy less than 10kg.

Too bad nowadays, foldie groups are mostly closed groups. You have to be a friend or brought by a member friend on rides. And also most of the active groups that I noticed are those Brompton groups. My advice is that you must be able to ride at least a certain distance (like 15km to 20km) before you actually join others for their regular rides. Unless off course , you have a buddy friend from that group who will take care of you. For starters, I think you can drive to Putrajaya and ride around the lakes there regularly, maybe meet some riders and get to know them. Once you are quite confident, you can check FB for Happy Cycling group that rides every Wednesday nights around KL, hunting for food.

Malaysian cycling scene is quite splintered and there's no main singular large group to actually steer the activity. Too much gossips and petty issues, bound to happen with so many kinds of people around.

I am not throwing cold water on the issue but let things go naturally. If you don't have friends doing the same, just ride on your own first till you group up with some others. It will happen , don't worry. Maybe other riders here can give you an invite to ride on their rides.........Anyone ? I used to take newbies to Putrajaya when I was in KL but I am in Taiping now, so I can't now.

Back track to the older treads and you can find the Putrajaya map. It's quite scenic and very safe, no traffic at all. Happy Riding  thumbup.gif

I tried a few group in KL and narrowed down to a few that i like. Started with JW cyclist at friday night, mostly MTB but it's newbie welcome.
But make sure know how to handle traffic on road, even tho with sweepers.

After awhile i moved to bangsar cycling group, every tuesday. IMHO they are very newbie friendly and one of the best group that i joined so far. Everybody speak english so no language barrier.
Too bad they decide no more downtown ride start from 2018. Most of us getting into serious road biking and hilly route.

For tuesday night, we have the last downtown ride next week, tomorrow will be hills bombing ride.
It's not a super fast elite group like NATO or BJCC. Most of us aim for endurance. Alot of audax participant.

The only diff is there's no sweeper, as i'm familiar with the route, sometime i even do the hills bombing with my foldie. If you are riding RB with average fitness, shouldnt be a problem to catch up.

Weekend normally will be higher intensity(not extremely high also la). 28-30 avg on flat with alot of hills. Our favorite route is bangsar-bkt ampang-bkt hantu-perez-bukit ampang-bangsar.

Ezbuy being blocked by taobao already. Taobao wanted people use lazada, hence blocking many 3rd party player.

Buying direct maybe hard as some good seller only delivery locally. And hard for people like me that don't read Chinese.

Here's one of the link.
https://item.taobao.com/item.htm?spm=a230r....bucket=5#detail

You get more choices if you fill in FnHon in their search option. Better still get someone who can write mandarin, you can communicate directly with the seller.

I tested the bike, the crank obviously was damaged during shipping, bengkok.
I found out more lack of QC defect, the folding hinges screw was too short, causing worn thread. lack of QC, i gotta dash to nuts and bolts shop to get a longer replacement and also loclite thread locker to secure this.
Other than these, all are perfect.
