QUOTE(etigge @ Dec 17 2017, 07:55 AM) Too bad nowadays, foldie groups are mostly closed groups. You have to be a friend or brought by a member friend on rides. And also most of the active groups that I noticed are those Brompton groups. My advice is that you must be able to ride at least a certain distance (like 15km to 20km) before you actually join others for their regular rides. Unless off course , you have a buddy friend from that group who will take care of you. For starters, I think you can drive to Putrajaya and ride around the lakes there regularly, maybe meet some riders and get to know them. Once you are quite confident, you can check FB for Happy Cycling group that rides every Wednesday nights around KL, hunting for food. Malaysian cycling scene is quite splintered and there's no main singular large group to actually steer the activity. Too much gossips and petty issues, bound to happen with so many kinds of people around. I am not throwing cold water on the issue but let things go naturally. If you don't have friends doing the same, just ride on your own first till you group up with some others. It will happen , don't worry. Maybe other riders here can give you an invite to ride on their rides.........Anyone ? I used to take newbies to Putrajaya when I was in KL but I am in Taiping now, so I can't now. Back track to the older treads and you can find the Putrajaya map. It's quite scenic and very safe, no traffic at all. Happy Riding Thanks sifu! Yep np Im riding on my own as well at times. I like it. And found some people as well to ride along with. Just posting for options before. Cheers!
