So I was SMS'd to have my upgrade by end of Oct. As been for the many of you.
TM gave me a ring this morning.
Said he wished to schedule for my upgrade. Asked me to choose a date. I said today. 'Fully booked ser. Next available date is Nov 15. Is that ok with you ser?'
"No"
'But we're fully booked ser'
"No. You will give me my upgrade by end of this month, as promised"
'But we're fully booked ser'
'No'
"Let me call you back sir"
And then he called back to notify scheduled for monday
Had wanted to query him if Nov 15 is within October. I enjoy my dark tones

My autopay billing started already. So early charged me for it. But the price still original price, no RM2 reduction. Is that RM2 reflected at the end of the month on my statement instead of the bill itself?

For those who did not eligible for Unifi speed upgrade, meaning TM ignored Najib's 2017 budget's aim for cheaper internet? Now 2018 budget just few hours left, and we still stuck with the same speed and same price before 2017 budget?

Is that RM2 reflected at the end of the month on my statement instead of the bill itself? The direct debit amount is always your statement balance (not your latest outstanding balance). If the direct debit amount is >RM20, you will be given RM2 rebate and it will appear on your next bill. You can pre-pay / manually pay in advance before your bill date to gain more cashback if you have cash rebate credit cards (eg PB Quantum Mastercard. M2 Amex etc), but always leave the outstanding balance at your next bill >RM20 for direct debit and gain RM2 rebate. This post has been edited by ClarenceT: Oct 27 2017, 09:48 AM

Hi, back to the question on the Unifi cabling, I have read the new installation guide as follows: https://www.tm.com.my/OnlineHelp/Documents/...nstallation.pdfOn the internal cabling, it's mentioned that free 50m for RJ11/RJ45. The cable length from FWS to BTU is not mentioned. May I know what's the limit on this fiber cable? Thanks

QUOTE(JohnLai @ Oct 26 2017, 11:06 PM) Correct. In fact, there is no need to install 'Malaysia' version. Better off install firmware from other place as long as the model is compatible. -.- TP-Malaysia firmware doesn't even include latest feature/security update aside from Unifi or Maxis or TIME guest SSID modification. any problem if we skip this firmware update? I scared i messed up during updating ler....

QUOTE(arrsoo @ Oct 27 2017, 03:43 PM) any problem if we skip this firmware update? I scared i messed up during updating ler.... As long as if your C5 version is dated 150428 for hardware V1.20 or 150908 for V2.0, there is no need to update that damned unifi advertisement version by TP-Link Malaysia and TM joint agreement. Edit: if your C5 is v1.x, you might wanna consider alternative firmware from openwrt. This post has been edited by JohnLai: Oct 27 2017, 04:16 PM

Anyone can try this firmware for Archer C1200...? I know it's from TP-Link Australia, but this is only the latest firmware provided for (EU) version... EDIT: Whoops, I didn't read through you're using C5. So anyone in this thread willing to test this firmware? This post has been edited by MrSpeedy: Oct 27 2017, 06:01 PM

EDIT: Whoops, I didn't read through you're using C5. So anyone in this thread willing to test this firmware? -.- ? Only update to that C1200 firmware if your router is V1.0 EU version. I think most new unifi subscribers get C1200 EU V1.0 version, however, there are few who have gotten US V2 variant instead.

So flashing this firmware will reset all settings? Do this firmware include TM Unifi default settings or needed to setup ID and VLAN from scratch?

Do this firmware include TM Unifi default settings or needed to setup ID and VLAN from scratch? Everything reset. There is a VLAN preset for Unifi HyppTV, but the port was changed from port 4 to port 1. Take note of this. Remember to enable 5Ghz TxBF at System Parameter after upgrading.
