I have unifi 30Mbps , worked fine until this afternoon. Superslow now.

Also how do you guys get the 50Mbps free upgrade? Still got offer available ?

I remember my parents telling me they got a message from TM but she didn't understand what they mean, something about an upgrade. I told my parents to say  yes.. but they didn't do anything lol. Guess 30Mbps more than enough for them.
I was away from Miri and of course from my parents so can't tech support them .

Got my upgrade to 100mb activated today, upload is fine at 55mb, download only getting around 70.

They only brought a new router and said new modem wasn't necessary. I assumed they'd be changing modem as the existing one only has 100mb ports rather than gigabit?

Yeah, same case with me, I had to call them to change it and requires me to renew my contract. Guess I'll be sticking to unifi for some time. It'll be a waste the BTU caps your download speed less than 100mb especially if I want to get that extra 14mb without any hiccups.

I'm using Ubiquiti ER-Lite 3 as a router.

Model is still the old Huawei HG850a (with only 100mb ports) which is why I think I'm not getting full speed.

Checking router settings at the moment to make sure nothing is limiting on that end.

Correct. In fact, there is no need to install 'Malaysia' version.    Better off install firmware from other place as long as the model is compatible.
-.- TP-Malaysia firmware doesn't even include latest feature/security update aside from Unifi or Maxis or TIME guest SSID modification.

I have one question, my plan now is 100Mbps, and my parent house is 10Mbps. I wonder if I can plug my router and modem at my parent house and enjoy the same speed?

Hi. Bought an Asus router today the RT AC66U.  It's dual band but I can only see 2.4 Ghz not the 5GHz.  But at the shop, I can see both and log in.

I'm on Unifi 50Mbps.  Anyone has this issue?

True. The wireless AP could have better wireless range, but in terms of performance, it would be similar unfortunately, as the wireless AP is getting its electrical signals from the power line.

Depends, if the wireless AP is a router but can also be used as an AP and it is a reliable brand, the wifi range and signal strength could be potentially better than the powerline with wifi and Ethernet. But, I would usually just recommend getting a powerline with WiFi as it save cost, unless you have a spare router that you can convert into an AP.

Yes, no problems if it’s along the same phase circuit, even if it’s 3 phase. So for example, if your first floor and router (which is located in the first floor) is all on the same phase wiring, powerline will work on all the wall sockets in the rooms on the first floor as well. If you put the powerline on the ground floor which has different wiring, it might or might not work.

So my internet down with no voip no auth just lan has light.

I called 100, they just said they have ganguan will call me soon. Unti now nobody drop a call.

This so called RM10 upgrade is valid for 24 month only. After that, normal price will be applied. For us who upgrade from the Thank You Surprise package (let say 30Mbps to 50Mbps) will not be able to revert back to the same package anymore (no more RM179 for 50Mbps). So i decided to stay with my current 50Mbps TYS package

After 24 months tm will come with better pricing coz after 2 yrs there need to be more competitive. 100Mbps price at that time should be like the price of 50Mbps now.
