2.4Ghz or 5GHz? Could be a congestion/interference issue.
*
2.4 but i have less than 10 2.4G networks aroud me, and it's been great all this while. Lan cable tests the same too... cant get thru to them or live chat support currently to reset port

Lol overkill la bro. AC1900 is more than enough or AC3150 v2 from TP-Link is good enough.

If it's LAN cable as well, might be something external and not related to your own setup. Good luck in getting hold of them.

Yes but a decent router + AP setup would be better for a 3 floor.

okok, lets drop down to peasant level setup, for a 3 floor, you can get a router like N4UHP, and for the rest of the floors, depending you want wifi there or not, this kit will solve your problem

Depends la bro. If your house have three-phase wiring or if the electrical wiring is old or not wired properly, powerline won't be a good option. I'm also staying in a 3 floor but my powerline is unreliable as my house have three-phase wiring. So far, it's still okay but I'm thinking of eventually having an access point on each floor.

mine is single phase in double floor house and so I m loving it, though now using 100mbps LAN only, might go for gigabit AC powerline
