Same here, I have one closed ticket for the call that I made yesterday to do the upgrade. Today I called to ask for a reference/order/ticket number for the upgrade, they gave me the same number.

Where did you apply? I did mine via 100 yesterday 9:51am, so far nothing yet. At least 2 who applied at TMPoint already got it, arrsoo and berserker.

I was chatting to the 100 CS, she said should be done in less than 7 days. She said a lot of people doing the upgrade. My previous upgrade performed over phone, VIP10 to Adv30, took 3 business days.

I selected 4 (Promotions). I think it was 4. No, they didn't ask me anything about the SMS, but she checked something before going ahead with the registration. I guess each account probably already has an eligibility flag.

btw, I never did receive the offer SMS, just read about it here on Thursday night and called the next morning. Till now still no offer SMS from them.

She mentioned that their system will detect if I'm on old equipment and if so, will be changed at no charge. She only said the words BTU & router without specifying any criteria for a change. I'm betting that the old BTU with 100mbit ports will be changed to a gigabit one. I guess will get a new router too. I'm, as far as TM records are concerned, still on the original DIR-615 that I got with my VIP5.

The old black Huawei HG850a will work with 100mbps but won't get max speeds. It will be slightly limited to a max of approx 95-97mbps due to 100mbit ethernet port limit and TCP overheads.

Good luck on the upgrade, are you on TQ Surprise 50 at the moment?

The model number tells all. So yours is probably HG8240w-4GE or something like that? That means yours and berserker's BTUs are already gigabit and ready for 100mbps. I guess I'll have to wait a few more days for mine.

All answers to your questions are in the positive. There's really no downside to this upgrade other than the additional RM10.

Comes with 600mins free calls to TM land, OLNOs and mobiles. After 600mins, free to TM landlines only. This is STD20 (Standard Call Plan RM20), I believe.

A few posts up, someone who already got the RM10 upgrade confirmed that the "Perpetual Discount" is still listed. I'll let you know about mine but I suspect I won't be getting it for a few more days due to my old equipment, I think TM wants to change the BTU before activating the upgrade.

I think I went something like "Hai, says nak tanya tentang upgrade RM10, boleh tak buat sekarang ataupun kena pergi ke TMPoint?" and went from there. She didn't asked me if I received the SMS.

That makes sense. 100mbps at RM189 is already positioned against TIME's RM149. RM40 more for HyppTV, free mobile calls, Viu, BBC Player, etc. If HyppTV comes with Jumbo pack as standard at this price for new users, it'll be very attractive especially to those like me who have never subscribed to Astro.

And what about TM's Netflix deal? What happened to that? Will there be more?

Totally the opposite of me. I don't have Astro nor a TVBox. So I actually watch HyppTV but mainly for news. Free iFlix to be over at the end of the year. iFlix is nice when I feel nostalgic and go looking for something classic to watch but don't really see my self subscribing to it.

RT-N12HP range on the same floor at the same power output will be much better due to its antenna gain. Do you know the transmission power of the Asus? It's probably higher than the C1200.

Did you have free calls before the RM10 upgrade? What blstz mean is that the free calls plan are carried over from before. The RM10 upgrade doesn't give you free calls if you didn't have it before.

Oh yeah, I did mine Friday morning. Already done but not activated because of my old equipment. A few of us here got the 100mbps almost straight away.
