I think the biggest one just spoke! tongue.gif

What genre do u guys play, Beatmasta? From your description, I would think it's something Fast, Loud and Heavy! Hehe...

About the pickups Calvin, I think my guitar isn't facing the same humming problem. The PAF7s are relatively quiet. Oh yeah, Beatmasta, I found a replacement pickup already, need to wait for another replacement then I can sell you the PAF7s.

We're not really staying that far la..you're from Subang (Calvin) and we're from PJ (SS2/Damansara Jaya area).

tongue.gif yoh not as gud like u, rusty and Equilibrium notworthy.gif , u've installed calvin pickups on the K7? if the PAF7 will change the tone currently AH7 default pickups on the rg7321 would be awesome. trying to get a good crunch on the bridge pickups for heavy sound riffs..kranngg! should i change the switch selector if i use the PAF7s cause whut i know K7 switch selector only 3 ways..where the Rg7321 has a 5 way selector.

we play mostly heavy quite low A flat riffs progressive nu-metal rock.. a little bit dark sound like Bjork+orgy+korn+lambofgod. Sometimes we sound like any modern rock. Tried to get a low G tune out frm the 7s but failed thts when the MM1 comes in action pair with my bro using a 7 on a A tune.

when it comes down to the rg7620 i'm satisfy the sound n tone it makes, running it down Effects wise, here are all the effects in my pedal board (don't usually use all of them at once, of course): Rg7620 -> PodXt -> Tonelok SB7, ToneLok CF7 -> ToneLok DE7-> Tonelok PH7 -> ToneLok Lo-Fi -> Boss HyperFuzz-> boss reverb -> digitech Whammy -> Fender tube Amp (not so sure which model)

and yes. . .the buzz i guess is from the pup. . . thats why im changing my pup. . . my AVT150 buzzes when the volume is up. . . ( pity my neighbours)

when low volumes it doesnt buzz.. . and one more tip try rollng your volume on your guitar. . . it works for me.. .  i roll down the volume on my guitar and crank up the amp and pedal volume. . . that is why i came to a conclusion it is our pup. . . i dont think val has the same problem?
*
Hey, thanks for the tip, mate... I'll give it a go this weekend and see how it works out.

Me and Val are sending our 7s for set-up in the 3rd week of May. Just hope I can scrounge enough cash for pups by then so I can have 'em installed one shot, but I seriously doubt it... sad.gif

JS Music can probably get me a good price on the X2N-7s but their next shipment is only in June or so...

Oh yeah, and I finally figured out why the EMG7s can't fit into the 1527 pickup cavity- the bloody things are housed in bass pickup casings so they take up more space than regular 7-string pups. Guess I really have no choice but to get passive pups this time 'round...

Hey, Beatmasta, you're rig sounds quite brutal... you'll be using it for your gig? ...and you still haven't told us what songs you're gonna play! biggrin.gif

Ok, cool, mate... Just make sure you take some vids of the gig for the benefit of us Sanctuarites who can't make it for your gig... wink.gif

Gee, I realized that we're on the 7th page of the Sanctuary already. Up the 7 FTW!

Next LYN Gathering, we all better turn out in force... and with Beatmasta and his ub3r-low tunings, guess we won't be needing a bassist for the low-end... hehe... tongue.gif

EQ, teach me some RC riffs lar... then during the Gathering we can whack the riffs and Val can prance around with his K-7 and pretend he's Munky Cooley... nu-classical shred mou.. thumbup.gif whistling.gif

where you sending it to setup?

dont forget to ask for 4 springs. . . (middle slot empty. . . meaning 2 on left/right)
if you dont wham the bar then get 5. . .

owh ic ic. . . i may be getting mine from the states. . . asking my singer to get it. . . but the thing is that after the tax and everything it costs the same as here. . . so mayb i'll get the D-Sonic here then the Air Norton ask him to get for me so no tax cause 1 pup. . .

Equilibrium dun u hide ur skills from me i can smell it already. yoh..not so fast there haven reach that stage of world tour lol just a small gig onli. usually i dun use the other tones and could be a reason why i always use the bridge humbucker more than the front neck one. easy switching frm back to middle then front 3 way switch.

yeah we can all gather have drinks , exchange knowledge..skills. would be a great thing.

I'll try my best to get someone to record the gig , looks like i'm gonna play in another gig..jst got call frm my vocalist asking to extend my stay since there's another gig going on in may. aiyoh . its hard stuffs to prepare for a gig i think Rusty n Val should know already..arranging music and everyone needs to be able to click with each other. It may look like i'm gonna play drums in certain parts.

Anyway, for us, it was pretty difficult and not that hard at the same time.

It was pretty difficult because we got one day's notice for the gig..... but not that hard because we've been practising the set for a few months already... laugh.gif ...and yet still slop like mad...

Wah Beatmasta, the amount of gear you use!! Insane in the membrane mou!
But for the kind of heavy like f*** music you play, I suppose it's only necessary wink.gif
And about the switch, I'm not sure if it's 3 Way or not. It seems to have 5 positions though (maybe two of the positions makes no difference kot) tongue.gif

oh kool val. if its 5 way selector should be no problem, but to do the wiring install where can i get that done eh? i heard pickups are very delicate to heat soldering iron..not sure if i'm correct bout that. i get frustrated sometimes when it comes to live performance and u have to plug ur effect box here and there connect adapter and then do sound check takes like forever to start. aiyoh. my vocalist sometimes keep on pushing us guitar player "oi u guys ready or not?" lmao

And the fact that the drummer also takes a while to setup helps too wink.gif

But then again, for YOUR rig, I can understand how long it'd take.
For wiring of pickups, I know jack about it. Maybe we can recommend you to Tham, the friendly neighbourhood guitar tech from Jln Gasing. But don't tell him 'Valkyrie' or 'Rustreaver' sent you.  doh.gif

with his genormious pedal board. .. i think not lar. .. since he'll have technicians doing it for him =D
