Or reposition it somewhere as a night light.

With DIY hacks I'm often torn between aesthetics and practicality.
Practicality usually wins but damn..., ugly can sometimes be really distracting.

Black transparent sticker will be good.. at least can see what icon blinking haha..

Tried that, it still breaks thru. Even the plastic sheet from a file-folder in not
strong enuf to block the bluddy TM logo. Behind the plastic sheet is layer
of opaque sheet of auto-tape for car-detailing. Anyway I had what I wanted.

My still under warranty. Do not want to open it.

If you're going to open it, you might as well change the LEDs.

There's no warranty sticker sticked on top of the modem. So it's safe to open it.

Change to dim red LED light bulb. For sure it will look like gaming modem. Ahahaha.

Hi everyone.
This month I saw TM busying to install this black box on every telephone pole, is it unifi FDP?
As some of my neighbour said this is streamyx 8mbs wire.

I saw them put new cable on telephone pole, thought it is fibre cable...
That's means my area wont get any unifi since all my nearby area already has unifi

Try complaining to MCMC, the UniFi project in my area started about a month ago, after lodging complaints to TM for unfair treatment due to unavailability of coverage. Want GE soon so there's a higher chance they will entertain you now.

that 1 is copper line ( the 1 you use for landline, streamyx)

So disappointed to TM as all my nearby area already got unifi fibre port and my area got nothing.
But I really no idea what cable they install for since my area already got streamyx and TM keep on set up termination box in my area (now already 4 box placed next to each other)

I also got keep complaint to MCMC since last August or July, but TM told me they cant provide Unifi at my address due to technical issue and MCMC said they cant force TM to provide Unifi at my address even the address same row as me but different street number at around 200m far away already got UNifi.

But very lucky on around 2 weeks ago i saw a booth at my entrance and some houses near me already got incomplete fibre cable on the pole. Not sure is it because of my complaint. Now jz wish they can faster done the fibre cable installation. In this 2 weeks jz saw they each day do a bit…

Hopefully can get Unifi on next month. ^^


I tot if hv extra cable usually is for Unifi. The new cable doesn't hv yellow color?

Cant see the cable clearly as the it already hang on the telephone pole.

Chill bro, still can get unifi lite, outside my house got the same black box too. Way better than stuck with 2Mbps streamyx.
