DON'T BELIEVE THEM!
TM Point staff told me that the unifi lite promo was over, and that the cheapest fiber package available to me (after she had checked my phone number in the computer) was RM179 30mbps.

And here I am today on unifi lite @ RM129+GST no free calls. The agents (or the agent's runners) can do it for u.

My area has fiber. The copper wiring in my house was taken out and replaced with fiber optic cable.

From what I've read of some other users in v2.0 of this thread, those living in certain areas where fiber is not available do get unifi lite thru copper cable, and that technology is called VDSL. The TM cabinet in your area has to be set up for VDSL in order for you to get this service.

seems not every area got vdsl, so u gonna wait for unifi first then they will provide unifi lite.

noticed most tmpoints now hides the unifi lite rm129 package, only list down the rm149 one..

Just install the Unifi lite today in my home in bayan lepas, penang. It was really fiber line as the technician showed me the fiber cable, first time saw the fiber cable looks like. Tested steaming YouTube 1080p video no issues and download full speed exceed even 10mbps and upload about 4mbps, satisfied as previously was on 4mbps Streamyx.

Tried playing csgo, ping was only 8ms..wow..
There are no set top box for hypptv, just only use apps or online web browser as I just took the package rm129/month

Hey.. I am not complaining... I was very pleased in fact... my previous streamyx 4mbps at rm88... I hold on to it for a long time... but 4mbps has its limitation like YouTube hd streaming not smooth and upload is really super slow.... I am enjoying my internet so much now.. I feel it is worth paying the extra ~rm40 to more than double my speed... 10mbps is good enough for now... previously 5mbps unifi was not much of an upgrade from 4mbps that is why I keep my rm88 streamyx deal...

2015-2016: When most of you paid RM140-160 for Streamyx 4/8Mbps, you hoped you could get Unifi VIP5 at RM149.
Early 2017: Most of you hoped you could get Unifi 10Mbps at RM149.
April 2017 (when Unifi RM149 is available): Most of you hoped you could get Unifi Lite 10Mbps at RM129, without free calls.
After first Unifi Lite bill appeared (when Unifi RM129 is available): Most of you hoped you could get naked Internet at RM99!

Maybe in 2018-19 (When Unifi RM100 is available): Most of you will hope get naked Internet at RM50.
...... Future: Free.

I just upgraded from streamyx (with auto debit) to unifi lite...
However I recheck with TM Point agent whether to reapply for auto debit on my unifi lite..
They said yes as it is different account number, simply fill & sign the form and wait for SMS confirmation from bank...

As HyppTV everywhere, I reuse my iPad with HDMI output which seem much stable & faster with app based compare to web based, I tried to view hypptv video from web seem a lot of error from IE... rclxub.gif

Alternatively, you can also manage/add your auto debit thru TM's website:

All the while we indirectly paid for copper cable theft and vandalism, RM50mil/year.
Paying for new fibre cable is better than reinstalling copper cables.

Points taken. But there is no need to fatten the already rich TM. Consumer is always first.

My area just finished pull fibre cable. So if i take unifi lite now, then after few years would like to upgrade to better package. Shouldn’t have those “ no port” issue right?

Was very interested with Unifi Lite RM129 package and had already registered with TMPoint last week but this evening got call from TMPoint and they informed me that this package is no longer available in their system.

Told me only the RM149 package is available now. So a bit confused. Are they genuinely already stop this RM129 package or are they merely want me to sign up for the pricier RM149 package. Currently using Streamyx 8Mbps @RM140/month (excluding GST) so this might be the reason. Don't want me to pay less to them but got higher speed.

Told them I'm not interested and want only the RM129 package. Straight away told me that they will check once again and get back to me later but haven't heard from them since then.
