shumaky, what is the exact model of the 5.2ch sony home theatre system? can you give us some reviews on its performance?

i wonder why need to have 2 sub woofers. will it be way too loud in terms of low frequency (or the bass) performance? sound boomy?

yeah, for those on a tight budget can consider it as it is less than 1k but you have coaxial, optical inputs. just wonder how's its overall performance and whether it is worth buying for such price tag.

There's alot of home theater speakers with multiple subwoofers, some up to 4. Subs are non-directional, and its placement in the room are quite important to achieve the best bass troughout the whole room. Having two subwoofers would achieve a better chance of getting the best bass by placing the subs diagonally opposite of each other at the corner edge of the room.
