All good and dandy, but come on DTS... trickle DTS: Headphone X to more partners already! It's been over a year!

DTS has always (well, mostly) had the upper hand over Dolby in technology. But they've never been good with spreading their technology to audio partners as well as Dolby does. It's a bummer.

As a headphone enthusiast, DTS Headphone X is the key that I've been waiting for to replace Dolby Heapdhone and Creative SBX.

For a wireless headset all-in-one that costs under RM400, it's decent at best. Sound quality wise alone, it's pretty damn lousy IMO. Too much low-mid and forward mids, not enough air and energy up in the treble range. Sony's VSS is subpar, in comparison to DTS Headphone X or Dolby Headphones. Biggest problem with Sony's VSS is the rear cues, has too little emphasis on it, the lack of air and energy from the headphone doesn't help either.

The pre-set equalizers are... o-kayish? Nothing to shout about to be honest. But yeah, if you need a RM400 all-in-one headset and want it to be wireless, the Gold is all you can get.

Otherwise if you prefer wired, your 2 options are:

1) Kingston HyperX Cloud Core
2) A headphone with a 3.5mm jack (like a Philips Fidelio X2) + Vmoda boompro mic

Obviously the 2nd choice is much more expensive, but its sound quality is a whole different league better than the Sony Gold headset.

Beyerdynamics COP + Vmoda Boompro Mic - total should be around RM1k +/-.
This is closed design though, so passive noise isolation is already there. Obviously you can tweak the noise isolation by changing to velour earpads and also the sound signature. But basically this should be all you need for everything, movies + gaming + music and on PC/PS4/Mobile.

Yes I've been playing it for a couple of weeks now. Not hard at all, other than raids that is. Good game, been enjoying it.
