Yea you can look around at MIDE. Susah to say how bad is a bad one. Some friends bought from Lazada and color did not change, even at 15m the color of the video is still red.

Will have a look see and do a bit of research on this. In any case, my next dive would most likely be after Raya though. Unlikely to dive during puasa.

what should be look on when buying a regulator, is it all the hose need to be purchase separately?
if can turn around the 2nd stage hose like pic below is better  biggrin.gif

They come with hoses, but you can replace them with something else if you like.

I recommend DIN over yoke, it's more compact, reliable, and lighter.. But you need to ask the dive center ahead of time if they have compatible tanks.

Why do you want the hoses to be turnable? They're useful in some specific advanced setups but aren't an advantage for standard recreational setups. PS i don't think that reg can be turned.

EKEN seems really cheap on Lazada. Any recommended models? Picture's good?

Yeah, am considering the new Gopro Hero as well.

dont bother with the cheapo cameras...i bought a couple, can last six months. at most. and the green colours (white balance lari)... no amount of editing can help.

Eken H8R, not too bad, my nephew's unit still functioning after a couple of years.

Got budget, go for reputable brands like Gopro, Olympus, and Sony

thinking of change it to rollable hoses than original rubber hose

i thought most of the dive center gas tank is feature for the use of yoke?, so far only dive at malaysia island and i see those tank are for yoke only

with turnable, the octopus wont be pull so much by the hose when turn the head to the left or to the right cause u need to bite hard to prevent it being pull out from mouth
on previously dive there were few time using this turnable regulator, feel much more comfort when head turn to left or turn to right without the need to bite hard

Yea you can change the hoses to braided hose which are softer but requires replacement like every 2 months.
Most island uses Yoke tanks but have Din tanks that has a tank converter to Yoke. They just need to unscrew it.
I think I know what you mean. The turning of the 1st stage low pressure connectors. If you get the braided hose maybe you dont need it. I had both and currently using non turnable one. Not much difference but if you prefer turnable one why not.

This camera comes up a lot when I did google search, seems to be highly recommended. Not availble in Malaysia though. The Akaso V50

Sorry. 2 years not months.
No extra cost but depends on availability. U need buy an adapter just in case. But best inform earlier so they can prepare beforehand.

Hmm it might be something else that was causing that pull. If you limit yourself to regulators with that feature, there's not many choices left. Apeks UST/DST, Scubapro Mk25, and clones of them.

I use to have a Din reg. My adapter was 160. Brand is not important. Now I am using a Yoke reg. Din too troublesome for me.
Go MIDE look should be able to get regs below 3k but dont go for those like Edge or HOG or any unknown brands. Servicing n quality of build is important.

Not really within my budget but if I want to get one, might as well get one that can last me for a while at least. $200 in the US, RM949 here.
*
i think RM 949 is HERO model..for diving i suggest u go to HERO5 $299 or HERO6 $399..all depends on your budget..and remember that the GOPRO price not come with underwater cassing that u need to buy separately.. biggrin.gif
