Results in good pictures? Saw a pretty nice Jellyfish at Sapi yesterday, was pretty pissed my picture didn't come out all that nice. Was pretty big and purple. Saw a pretty nice lionfish too.

Yeah, still very much a noob on this. It's a Mofily Yocam which I got off Kickstarter about 2 years back. The other cameras mentioned i.e. Eken or SJCam, those work great? Eken seems really cheap.

no idea about Eken..but my friend using before the videos quality looks nice..not sure about photos..
last time im using SJCAM SJ4000 the videos quality not bad.. but photos quality is so~so..
If u got budget get the new HERO5 or HERO6 or else try find USED HERO4Silver Edition..many ppl start sell their HERO4 for upgrade..

Okay. If that is within your budget than its one of the best.

How much is your budget? Go to PWTC Malaysia International Dive Expo this weekend and maybe you can find a few cheap prices there but keep in mind that cheap don't mean good. Do your research and talk to the instructors.

Not really within my budget but if I want to get one, might as well get one that can last me for a while at least. $200 in the US, RM949 here.

I think the new gopro is about 180p without casing.
So the other mentioned action camera is best suited for your price range. Plus you need to get a red filter.

Yup. Yes its a separate accessory. Its a cheaper alternative to video lights but if you buy a bad one than your videos would be red.
From your pictures it seems like visibility is bad also, so any filter or lights wont do much help.

It was fairly OK. Not the greatest, but fairly OK. Guess I would not be able to expect much from Sapi and it's proximity.

Define a bad one? What's a recommended one. Am going back to KL this weekend coincidentally so am thinking of dropping by MIDE for a while.

Yea you can look around at MIDE. Susah to say how bad is a bad one. Some friends bought from Lazada and color did not change, even at 15m the color of the video is still red.
