I see lots on web selling, does the coil can tahan hang on after the clip bucket is release or need to clip back in the event of release the camera from hand?
1st time using this, worry about my camera tongue.gif
Can consider suunto novo too, less than 950

Generally it's quite tahan. Unless your camera super heavy even when it's in the water.

But I still paranoid cause I lost camera before (found it later on the surface though). So I tend to hold onto my camera or let the strap go around my fingers or wrist if I want to free up my hands.

I also thinking about this question, last time I used to use gopro4, so no problem. Recently bought a Olympus TG5, currently without any dive light, but I feel unsafe clipping it like that..

When doing giant entry, I dont know how to secure the camera.. Maybe should change and use left hand holding regulator and mask, right hand holding camera?

Jump in first than ask others to pass to you. Or if you really want just hug it to your chest with your arm/elbow while holding onto your reg and mask.

how much u get for tg5 with underwater casing? good deal?
actually if is jump in, one hand hold regulator and mask, one hand can hold camera
if backdrop, is abit hard, unless your left hand not going to hold the back of your head

I have tested before using the lanyard coil with my camera setup which is (ikelite case+camera+tray 1 handle +arm+video light) no problem at all..for me the lanyard coil quite tahan la.. my camera got falling down before and the lanyard coil safe my camera from getting gone into the deep blue sea.. brows.gif
If u just bring down your camera which is TG5+Underwater Case only should be more OK..more light and more safe..confirm.. thumbup.gif

When do giant strike if you no confident to jump with your camera, just called the boatman crew to pass your camera after you jump in.. Or maybe you can giant strike with your camera like this brows.gif

TG5 is tiny and light. I'm sure no issues.

I know people with DSLR and 2 strobes also just clip it like that underwater. Some have another clip to secure it cause it's huge and will move around if not secured properly.

When entering water, get someone on the boat to pass it to you. I usually hug it towards my chest with one hand and other hand still secure mask and reg.

Ya, somehow very lucky. It was those old Canon housing that was colorful and hence easier to spot when on surface.

I just bought a flight from KK to Tawau for mid May as it was fairly cheap. Any recommended contacts in Tawau? What prices should I be looking at?
