Still there last year (1 shop), but i don't think they open all day and whole day

QUOTE(blackwhitechipsKL @ Apr 26 2018, 01:46 PM)
There's one shop that opens occasionally but RM4/5 per can, not exactly what I'll call cheap. Stop by tekek and buy by carton
*
QUOTE(scchan107 @ Apr 26 2018, 01:49 PM)
Why buy RM5 tiger when you can get RM7 Hoegaarden
*
alright thanks.

doubt i'll stop by at tekek though.

haha, prolly just get a few cans and drink for fun je

I also thinking about this question, last time I used to use gopro4, so no problem. Recently bought a Olympus TG5, currently without any dive light, but I feel unsafe clipping it like that..

When doing giant entry, I dont know how to secure the camera.. Maybe should change and use left hand holding regulator and mask, right hand holding camera?

Hi guys,

Does anyone knows how long will the bus journey from KL - Mersing take?

And if I were to take the 9am ferry out from
Tioman, will I be able to catch the 12.30pm bus in Mersing back to KL

Ferry should be 2hrs.

Mersing to KL should be at least 4hrs.
Another option is to take ferry to Tg Gemok jetty (located at Kuala Rompin), where you will be taking same bus coming from Mersing to KL, where you have extra 30-40min buffer (time for the bus to reach from Mersing)

Bus route: KL => Pekan => Kuala Rompin => Mersing
*
noted. thanks for the info

QUOTE(munkeyflo @ Jul 13 2018, 01:36 PM)
Bluewater ferry? Don't know if they still specialise in delays these days.

We have been caught in ferry for hours before, delayed for hours until we almost extend our trip. Coming back from Tioman to KL can be leaving Tioman before the sun rise and reaching KL after the sun sets. laugh.gif
Anyways, sometimes you can be lucky. wink.gif

Tg Gemok jetty apparently seems to be more punctual.
*
thanks for the info.

first time taking bus and using mersing jetty so I'm kinda lost here.

But if i were to take bus in tanjung gemuk back to KL, where do i actually get onto the bus ya?

dont remember seeing any bus station around the TG jetty the last time I'm went.

Don't think there are busses directly there. Private transports yes.
Hence why there's less people there and why Mersing is packed with all sorts of locals and tourists.
*
QUOTE(scchan107 @ Jul 13 2018, 02:45 PM)
No actual bus stop, but the bus will stop opposite side of the road, of course you will need to buy the ticket BEFORE you depart from KL as there is no ticket agent in Rompin.

Coming out from jetty, there should be 3-4 shops on your right side (opposite side, 100m?) selling fruits and stuff. Can always ask the shop owner if you are not sure about the actual spot.

I took Transnational to Tg Gemok jetty last year (April).

Also, bus will stop right in front of Tg Gemok jetty, but for mersing you will need to walk from Mersing bus station to jetty. 30min walk? if you walk leisurely with luggage.
*
QUOTE(EvanSoon @ Jul 13 2018, 03:04 PM)
Tanjung Gemok got 2 main buses. SanHwa Express will actually stop in front of the Jetty. They pick up there too so its easier.
Bad thing about SanHwa is the seats are all twin seats. So it might be a little tight.
*
thanks.

I think I'll just take the bus to mersing then for convenience sake.

haha

Bare and Mares is very commonly used and available. Their quality are so far so good, reasonable for the price you pay.
I generally don't think wetsuits can cause any discomfort underwater. It's just a matter of how much comfort you want. If you have the money, go try out 4th element wetsuits. laugh.gif
*
4th element really damn nice eh. but the price fuiyoh... need to sell kidney
