You wont enjoy it as much as doing it on an island with the current in your face, coral beneath you, Fishes around and the saltiness of the water.

You won't have the experience to dive off a boat in the ocean with that training. So the first time you actually go out and do an ocean dive, it's probably best that you do it under the supervision of an instructor.

I just wanna get the license before my trip to krabi to dive. Can't afford to take much time off work. that's why i'm considering doing it in a lake.

Heading Tun Sakaran Marine Park. Wont be diving in Mabul/Kapalai n Sipadan. Will focus more on Pulau Mejar, Pulau Pandanan, Pulau Mataking Kecil & Besar, Mantabuan, Bohey Dulang, Timba Timba, Sibuan, Pom Pom etc... But will stay in Mabul. Will focus more on each island "signature dive site".

East coast, not East Malaysia.. I have some commitment to be at KL until at least October... but if dates permissible I might take the bait, I can also make a trip to my hometown at Sabah also.

East Coast: Perhentian, Tioman, Kuantan, Bidong is in my list this year. Not really have plan yet... But definitely will go!

On-hold first due to possible election day. I will not joining if election crash on my date.
But I do bring 3 China Students for OW Certification. If election fall during tat period, OWC will still go on but with local instructor.

Pulau Mejar, suppose cannot go, but we got apply with Malaysian enforcement, so can go, they will be diving with us.
Pulau Bohey Dulang, 1 dive in Twin Rocks dive site to spot Pgymy seahorse at 22m. 1 climb up to the peak of Bohey Dulang of course.
Pulau Pom Pom: Muck Dive x2, hopefully can catch a glimpse of bull sharks and blue ringed octopus
Pulau Pandanan: Sting Ray Site...
Pulau Timba - Timba, Pulau Mantabuan: couldn't recall what I see last time... have to check back my log
Pulau Mataking: Post Office/Wreck on 19m
Pulau Sibuan: Mandarin Bay (many goby, dont recall seeing any mandarin fish)
few more to explore... exploring some new sites as well...

Pulau Sipadan, Mabul, Kapalai will be skipped this round.

I will be diving alone in Redang 13 April - 15 April.

However, as this is a company trip (Snorkeling), I can't share transport and room with you (Whether you are same gender or not).

I'm staying at Redang Mutiara Resort, which they will provide boat transfer from Merang Jetty. So, if you can manage to come Merang Jetty while getting a room by yourself at Redang Mutiara Resort, we can be dive buddy.
