May i know how much is the cost for the battery replacement? And u use 3rd party e.g bateriku.com or changed it at SC? Mine now 2 year same as u. I did service 40k in sc and sa mention the battery is in bad condition now.  icon_question.gif

It cost RM235. But since December 2018 got discount, got reduced to RM220.
I changed it at SC.
Better change, since the start/stop & DRL could drain battery very fast.
Even though your battery water still a lot, it won't have much charge.

Come to think of it, my car key also finish battery. Got charged RM 12 for battery replacement at SC

Ever since the beginning. Both battery (car & car key) replaced exactly after two years because too low.
Never use my backup at all.
Also my key contain rubber cover. Maybe that's why the battery low since need more power to let signal through.
I didn't know my car key battery died because SC told me there is a light indicator on your key

Do SC has the non MF battery? my battery also reached 2 years now, thinking to change if charge is not much even though got fill in battery water regularly

For the car fob battery, I already bought the battery myself, 2 energizer battery less than RM10, plan to change it my self by reading the manual book

Rf can go through rubber. That is not the reason for battery drainage. The main culprit is because fob will constantly emitting rf even when not in use. It is recommended to turn off spare fob to reserve power.

My sister's 2005 vios cannot start.
Car no response to key RC (press unlock no response).
Then, manually use key to open the door but alarm not even activated.
The immobilizer LED also not blinking anymore.
Anyone has the same experience?
Immobilizer faulty already?
Car battery just changed 3 months ago.

On fob, press and hold lock button. Then double press unlock button. Test with keyless entry. If not working then fob has been deactivated. To activate back fob, just press any button.

Possible battery kaput. Even if you already changed to new battery recently. You need to make sure the battery gets recharged frequently especially if you are using mf type battery.

Hi, anyone use semi synthetic oil for their Vios?

Is it compulsory to service once in 4 months if use semi syn?

Or just follow the 6 months interval?

SC said semi syn is for 7,000km or 4 months interval, now already 4months+ but they never call me back to service, in the App it shows next service is at 6 months interval.

Dilemma, should I follow 4 months or 6 months interval?

Worry it would affect my warranty if I opt for 6 months interval...

Just because I bought the prepaid maintenance (never know it’s semi syn), if not I sure go for full syn no need so mafan.
