Who say vios got quiet cabin? if the car not moving, yes you can have quiet cabin. Plus if your vios equipped with acoustic windscreen it would be a pleasant environment.

With the rattling noise coming from the dashboard. It became worse after 3 times send to SC. Today i got a bonus. Earlier the sound came from just behind the meter panel. After today, the foreman gave me another clicking sound coming from left side. With the previous problem unsolved, I'm thinking of pushing my car into the drain.

By the way, If you add Toyota Auto Tag, you are going to have vibrating sound underneath Gear console. Mine they already fixed it with insulation. The bad thing is, my TRC button no longer working...arghh...

Really heartache. Should just bought Bezza. It has everything similar to Vios with but only half price. If Bezza got rattling sound, I don't mind. You pay for Vios premium price, still get cap ayam.. Haish..

Going to SC 40km. Back and forth = 80KM. Toll? Time spend?

Due to heartache and my short temper, I abused this innocent car. Parked my car on the road side just to text the service advisor for the poor job they done. Rev the engine to the max..I noticed the car shaken terribly? Does it supposed to do that?? Who cares...I should abuse this car more to test the reliability. Switched to manual, rev and floor the pedal until home. The engine was screaming along the way. Reaching corner? I dropped the gear until it make the beeping sound..

I hate this car...


Oh ya. I bought this lousy Vios G on 10th this month.

Probably as you said. Very unlucky. The color I got was not my first choice. This one looks weird when my other cars have one same color.

Not less than a month. Day 1 already has the sound. Already far from SC then only realized the sound.

same boat with me bro. was told by the foreman, this problem from assembly line. their qc below par. foreman said they faced many similar cases and still no solution. is either customers give up or they have to live with it...

even our fellow drivers here have no real solution, right? been reading the thread. many of us got the same problem.

tomorrow i'm going there again for the fourth time. and this time, i won't sign the job sheet if i'm not satisfied with the job. they are very clever to pass my car when they about to close for the day. they have reason to ask me to come the next day. 10 am to 5pm just to rectify the sound. tomorrow, i'll be there before 8am.

woke up late today due to working till 5am. already afternoon lost mood going to SC. i already inform my sales person to talk to the service manager. funny thing is, she doesn't know who is the service manager. even i didn't work there i know where the service manager room. i have to pinpoint her the location, haish..

anyway, thanks a lot for the suggestions. i might follow the steps if they can't get it done.

good to know. i will highlight this to the foreman. unless they are dumb or lazy enough to rectify the problem, care to tell which SC you went to?

more stress la like that bro. already spent depo for vios. mine even though registered on 2018 but in fact the car was made on 2017. talk about depreciation. i should have gone with city v. now too late. better bezza than myvi

fortunate to drive any problem-free car...

only 5k discount with 10k depreciation the moment i bought the car.

if fob no battery still can start the car.. if you want to make things simple, sc should be able to help.

if you been using your car quiet a while, might be problem with clock spring..else could just be the buttons..my car still new already make abrasive sound while turning the steering...

may be because still new. bit hard. i feel the same when i got mine. i like my peugeot better. much smooth, one finger can switch gear. but i have tendency to forgot, peugeot and toyota gear position are quite the opposite. same goes to the wiper and turning signal.

i expect all toyota owner to be more civilized. come on, owning a toyota must be well earned. to have good earning, you must be educated (supposedly). not sure if the thief got his for free and that "G" too damn important to him. I don't care if mine is missing, just don't scratch my car

ps. i just using common sense. if you're not well educated and coincidentally own a toyota, this has nothing to do with you. no need to bash me.

pps. someone did try to pry my "not-everyone-can-get-and-use" emblem on my other car. it's made of metal, good thing the 3m double-sided tape did a good job. causing the metal a bit crooked. still.. very sad, got this type of people living among us.

vios bad fc? i say much better than proton. drove flx cvt for few months, got between 8km/l - 10km/l. with vios cvt, i can get 13km/l to 16km/l mix driving condition.

in b segment car. rear disc brake vs drum make no different. although the later inferior just 2,3 feet stopping distance.

still 2 airbags not a good safety. what good of the rear disc if someone bang you from the side?

welcome to the dashboard rattling sound club. i had mine sent 3 times still not settled. fed up, i bought a dashboard rubber insulator. the noise gone. but as you drive further, new sound will emerge. now i got sound coming from middle ac ventilation. waiting for my next service to fix this.

sure why not. i hate my vios on the first day i got it. i hate toyota's foreman for wasting my time and yet the problem still unsolved. for the same price, city would be a better choice if you are looking for features. still want to say city got drum brake unlike vios with dics? like that make a huge different on 185/60/15 tyres.

regardless of any car, sure there are hatters. unlike me, i hate the car i drive not the car drive by others



ps. please don't make an issue why i bought vios instead of city. totally different argument.

thanks for the suggestion. i solved the problem myself but i could not get back the times i've wasted. not just sent 1 time there but 3 times. in addition to that, they created another problem. fortunately not severe, i can wait for the next service.

not entirely true. i have to disagree. stopping distance for small surface tyre make no big diffrent whether if disc or drum. rear brake is meant for slowing down vehicle. front brake will do the stopping. ever try stopping your car with just rear brake?

as i already mentioned in my previous post, more airbag is better than rear disc brake. what good is the rear disc brake if the impact coming from the side of the car? if i have to weight between rear disc brake and more airbag, i'll choose the later.

to me, rear disc brake should not be one of the deciding factors.
