I bought some bodybuilding supplements from iHerb which consists of Multivitamins, Omega 3, Ashwagandha, and Digestive Enzymes. All together comes with 6 different supplements. When the supps arrived, the pharmacy department insert a warning letter together with the parcel. What bothers me is that in near future I need to reorder again from iHerb. Tomorrow I'm gonna go to the Pharmacy Department to have further explaination as I'm buying this supps for my own use, not for resell. Does anyone experience this? Do you still buy supps from iHerb after getting this letter? If let say i use UPS shipment option, can the parcel enter without any inspection?

Sorry for a new thread as the last one I saw (updated) it was 2 years ago. The policy and rules might change after these years.

Isnt the letter is very clear that u are violating the rules by importing suplements that are not certified by the pharmaceutical department? Every suplements suppose to have kkm logo certification if not mistaken.

My advise is buy locally Coz their products are brought in through the legal channels.

If you still want to import yourself, u have to go through the paperwork first like any other importers..

I'm not sure bro. I never know about this before. I thought any supplement can enter Malaysia. Luckily they let my things go this time.

So that means all other supplements in Malaysia have KKM logo even in bodybuilding's store?

They do have it in Lazada but unfortunately the price is unreasonable at all. I imported it is because I wanna use it, not sell it to other people.

And I need all those supps for my fitness and bodybuilding purpose. Life Extension hardly be found in local pharmacies too and that is why I bought it from iHerb. 😅

In ideal situation, they should be endorsed with kkm Shiny logo.. thats the proper way. If there is any without the kkm Shiny logo, then they could be reported or raids could be conducted.

I just called them this morning as I can't get to the Pharmacy office. Unfortunately there are no favorable reply from them. No approval from KKM, cannot bring in. If let say bring in again, they will confiscate the item or denda RM25k. Can get approval from them but gotta have license and registered company to bring in (Of course it will be so costly). So sad can't buy from iHerb already as they give a very good price for my supps. Hmmm. Local pharmacy markup their price until 200% due to taxes and licenses that they have. Very unreasonable. Ask them it is for my own personal use, they still say can't bring in. Fuck. ranting.gif vmad.gif mad.gif

Not gonna stay in Malaysia. Everything also wanna tax and can't do anything. Sigh

Just order in lesser quantities next time if for personal use. I've gotten similar letter before included into the parcel, but I ordered again and still received without issues.

How many times you order and how much the quantity?

Do they give you another warning letter or don't have d?

What shipping you use after that? Still using DHL?

Actually, every country has the same policy, just to protect the consumer And the local economy.. imagine if everyone simply import stuff without regulation, the local market will suffer. My advise is just change to another brand which are in your budget. I am sure there are other brands that are More economical.

Let me just say this, u will get away once or twice. Iherb has already been on their watch for a long time. 3rd u order, u risk saying goodbye to yr purchases. No appeal will be entertained as warning letter has been issued to you. Yes, they keep records of yr details in their database.

Their logic is simple, no registration no import. Want import, get license. Same goes for cosmetic items.

Quite a number of times dy. Usually around RM500. Don't have warning letter dy. Perhaps it depends on how hardworking the customs ppl are in checking your parcel. I didn't order from iHerb before but from another well known online pharmacy from down under.

I'm about to reorder again from iHerb as GAT Supplements is doing 15% for their product entire website. Hmmm. This time I wanna try using other person address and name. Hopefully everything goes well. In Malaysia I saw 11th Street sell quite high but still affordable. At their price I can get 2 items at iHerb.

You order from which online pharmacy if you would like to share. smile.gif

It's very simple actually, if 3 years jail & RM25k is something that you can stomach, then by all means go ahead. You're not the first, not the last & definitely not the only one. There are people who got visited, there are people who got called & there are people who got the letter. It's a matter of time.

It is just a warning. The most that they will do is confiscate the item.

Some Update.

I bring my gf to collect the parcel. I registered it under her name, address and phone number.

But unfortunately after buying just 4 items which is not illegal items, still the pharmacy department insert the warning letter inside it. Maybe for iHerb delivery, customs and pharmacy department make the rules tight for them?

So after 2 months I might buy again but this time I wanna try it to be under my name again. Hopefully this time also still can lepas because I only wanted to buy 3 different items only.

Thanks for the favorable reply everyone!

I bought 2 bottles NatureWise flaxseed oil from iherb this year and last year.

I ordered Biotin 10,000 umg from the internet (not iherb) . Hope it arrives bcos the highest concentration content that i can find here is 600 umg in GNC.

For my point of view...the vitamins sold in pharmacies etc in this country are pure garbage.

GNC markup the price too high. I never buy from GNC before. The last time I went, 01 tub of MassTech they put the price RM300++ instead of other supplement store only RM149. shakehead.gif shakehead.gif

As for now I only buy Blackmores Milk Thistle for my liver from Watsons/Guardian or local pharmacy. Other than that, I never buy.

The reason I buy from iHerb is because the price is the reasonable. They convert directly USD - MYR and no extra charges and still got additional discount. The courier price is also very affordable.

After 2 months I'm gonna order again from iHerb. Hope they will release my items. sweat.gif wink.gif

Yes bro. The only supplement you can buy in Malaysia is Blackmores. Quite ok. As I'm in high protein diet so I bought milk thistle to cleanse my liver after some hard work digesting those proteins.

As I reply your feedback right now, hopefully the item safely arrived at your door.

Do you receive any warning letter inside?

The last time I used my gf name, address, and phone number. The items still passed the pharmacy and custom department but it comes with warning letter inside.

I'm gonna make an order again maybe end of this month or next month as I still have the supps that needed to be finish.

Actually I just started taking the supps last night so the stock is still a lot. This time I might be using my another address to buy from Iherb.

I think it is better you have another name and address so that the custom and pharmacy dont track your parcel.

I also received a warning note for my purchase from iHerb last month.
My purchase of supplements and vitamins only totalled RM383 for own consumption.
Does this mean that cannot buy from overseas in the future ?
Local pharmacies prices are way too expensive !!

I having been buying from IHerb for 2-3 years and I can vouch all my supplements now are ordered from there and not at retail pharmacy. This is due to their extensive choice and quality products.
I mainly buy immune enhancing supplements, sports supplements and some organic skincare.
I have experimented and found that choosing the DHL global mail is the best option to avoid pharmacy warning letter. Be sure to not order more than one bottle per product per order and it is for personal use.
Time to receive your parcel varies 3 weeks to 6 weeks but so far I have never not received my parcel. Just my two cents.

Another tip, to bring down the shipping cost (express or global mail), make sure you include one supplement with 'shipping saver' tag and it will bring down the postage cost more than 50%. Have fun trying!

For 10% discount on your purchase, use this code "NAJ3457" and spread the joy of affordable and quality supplements you can have smile.gif

10% voucher code NAJ3457

I just placed an order for the 1st time. I just bought a bottle of supplement and I selected send using Global Mail by DHL (Local Post). I really worry can’t receive it, be warned and be taxed. Hopefully can receive it safely 🙏🏻.

Do share my rewards code here AMX4064 and it can be combined with WDAY2018. Worth saving! 👍🏻

Folks it actually depended on the Region...some region is more strict/overzealous than others. That why different people have different experience when dealing with those gov jabatan.

There are 5 port of entry for air-delivered parcel from USA into Malaysia.
The processing done by Farmasi & Kastam is based on the parcel port of entry.

Jabatan Kastam will decide how much you will be taxed.
Bahagian Farmasi will decide whether the supplement should be seized and whether a warning letter should be given.

Red Color Warning letter: A General warning letter. Randomly given. (Can safety ignore it if it was for personal consumption)
Yellow Color Warning letter: If a bottle have over 200 (?) tablet/capsule. (Don't re-order the same bottle within 60 days)
White Color Warning letter: Only Penang issued it. (Please heed the warning)

1. Subang & KLIA (Region covered: KL, Selangor, Kelantan, Terengganu & Pahang)
- Followed the standard SOP, under RM500 no tax.
- Give Warning letter. (Can safety ignore the Red/Yellow warning letter)
- No phone call from Farmasi/Kastam.
- For East Coast state, DHL only served your state capital. Pos Laju will take-over for other areas.

2. JB (Region covered: Johor)
- Will randomly tax you.
- Give Warning letter. (Can safety ignore the Red/Yellow warning letter)
- No phone call from Farmasi/Kastam.

3. Penang (Region covered: Penang, Kedah, Perlis)
- Will randomly tax you.
- Give Warning letter. (White color warning letter - saying they only give u 1 chance after that they will seize it.)
- Farmasi will also phone you and give you a verbal warning to discourage u from buying from overseas.
- Penang Farmasi only give you 1 chance to buy using DHL Express, after that they will seize it, but you probably can continue to order using the slow Global Mail.

4. Kuching (Region covered: Sarawak)
- Heard that they will seize all (but that was many years ago)
- Now I heard that some was let through......

5. Kota Kinabalu (Region covered: Sabah)
- Heard that they will seize every supplements!

N. Sembilan (Either Subang or JB Kastam)
Melaka (Either Subang or JB Kastam)
Perak (Either Subang or Penang Kastam)

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Here is the summary for you based on my experience of ordering more than 20 parcels from www.iHerb.com over the past few years:

1. Buy less than RM450 (including Freight)
2. Buy only 1 bottle per supplement (can contained up to max 8 different supplement per-parcel)
3. DHL Express takes 5-7 days to reach your home.
4. If your parcel passed through Subang Kastam & it is less than RM500 (including freight) u don’t need to pay tax. Other Kastam office will randomly taxed you.
5. Your parcel will go through both Kastam Office & Farmasi Office.
6. You may get a Warning Letter from Farmasi (u can safety ignore it) if you only used it for personal consumption.
7. You can only order at most once a month. You order is being recorded by Kastam & Farmasi. They know your order history. If you want to re-order within the same month, pls use different name & address.
8. Preferably use your residential address, unless your employer company is well known like Maxis or Maybank. If the company name is “Ah Chong Sdn Bhd”. Farmasi may withhold your parcel because they suspect the company will sell the supplement to the public (u will have to call Farmasi to clarify & they will release it). If the name is "Ah Chong Motor Sdn Bhd", it is alright since it indicate the nature of the company business.
9. If you were being taxed, it will be at 10% (Kastam will use their standard Freight charges RM498.75 to derived the tax). On top of this you will have to pay RM53 to the Courier company for service charge for helping you to process your tax.
10. If you use the cheapest courier (Delivery by Local Post) it will took 3-8 weeks for it to reach your home. There were cases the parcel was missing. You will not get any refund for missing parcel.

I did purchase on feb 2018 (local DHL), but arrived at middle of March. Order 2pcs probiotic thing and 1pc Q10 items. Warning letter issued. so, my question is that can I still order again? damm worry those thing since masuk penjara or fine is not a small joke. Iherb box is damm box and the wording is damm big, sure obviously easy to notice.

Slow delivery done by normal pos Malaysia, not poslaju. 99% through KLIA. Will take a month to two to arrive but in more than ten times me opting this delivery method, I haven't received any warning letter.
I ordered myriad of products including supplements, sports supplements, skincare and groceries.

Make sure to add one product with 'shipping saver' in your cart to bring down the delivery cost considerably and mix the supplements with one skincare or groceries to avoid warning letter if using express delivery.

DHL e-commerce did the delivery am the way until the parcel reached MY. It's likely to be Poslaju that did the local delivery as the time when the parcel reached MY and reached your destination is about 1 week.

No issue with Kastam as my order is below RM500.

Already one month (3 days past the due date), but my package is nowhere to be seen. Use the airmail without tracking so no idea where it is now.

If customs confiscates my parcel, will they send letter or call to inform?

Any way to get refunds?

It won't be customs who confiscates, but Health Department.
I got a call from them, informing me about the confiscation, along with a warning to not do it again.

Have you tried contacting global mail to get the ref no for Pos Malaysia? They should be able to give you a ref to check, otherwise I think it's lost.

By the way, I don't think Pos Malaysia is a delivery option? Always DHL or Ups, no?

Your case is quite different from mine previous 2 purchases then. DHL helped me to settle clearance as well as providing update right until delivered to my door.

Don't let any party pushing their responsibilities to others. If they claim that they have passed to Pos Malaysia then surely they would have record of that transition. Ask them for the proof, I believe they would be able to provide some ref that you can track with Pos Malaysia.

I only used DHL Express as the courier when I ordered from Iherb. I can track it until it reach my door steps. Only took 7-8 days to reach my door steps,  DHL will make sure it is delivered. It is expensive but very Safe.

Using Delivery by Local Post (Globalmail) is risky, out of 10 order, 1 or 2 may goes missing. Tracking is limited, DHL will wash hand & said they already passed it to Pos Malaysia (Local Post). It is cheap (even FREE) but it is risky.

U better check with courier why it is held and shared with us the info.
Either caffeine was banned from being imported or you bought too many bottle of Caffeine.
or you use your businesses address. But i think i read somewhere that caffeine was banned.

But usually a call to bahagian farmasi from you with explanation and they will release it. Checked you email inbox for any msg from them.

Last time i used my business address (they tot i gonna resell it) and was held for 2 weeks, after i call them and they immediately released it.

White Color Warning letter: Only Penang issued it. (Please heed the warning)

- Followed the standard SOP, under RM500 no tax.
- Give Warning letter. (Can safety ignore the Red/Yellow warning letter)
- No phone call from Farmasi/Kastam.
- For East Coast state, DHL only served your state capital. Pos Laju will take-over for other areas.

2. JB (Region covered: Johor)
- Will randomly tax you.
- Give Warning letter. (Can safety ignore the Red/Yellow warning letter)
- No phone call from Farmasi/Kastam.

3. Penang (Region covered: Penang, Kedah, Perlis)
- Will randomly tax you.
- Give Warning letter. (White color warning letter - saying they only give u 1 chance after that they will seize it.)

N. Sembilan (Either Subang or JB Kastam)
Melaka (Either Subang or JB Kastam)

GOOD NEWS!!!
The above guide have been outdated due to SkyNet courier!!! But if you used any other courier the above guide is still applicable.

IHerb is now using a new courier SKYNET for Malaysia. For all state in Peninsular Malaysia (I'm not sure about the autonomous region in Borneo) SkyNet will use SUBANG as their port of entry.

Today I just received my order from IHerb, delivered to my address in JOHOR and surprisingly it goes through SUBANG. I ordered on 22-Feb, received on 1-March. Tracking showed SZB - WAREHOUSE, SZB is the IATA code for Subang Airport. This is also the reason why your order value cannot exceed USD$115 (115 X 4.07 = RM463) if u want to used SkyNet, which will be less than RM500 after conversion into RM.

For Penang (and Northern region) folks, who previously received warning (White Letter & verbal) or being seized after ordered from IHerb you can now re-order again but this time u must use SkyNet. (Pls call SkyNet to re-confirm before ordering!!!!!)
For Johor (and Southern region) folks, no more randomly imposed TAX on your order.

Thanks for the reply! Oh my god, I just placed my order without any survey and seems like my money will gone. I am using the cheapest delivery method in that 4 choices, so I chose USPS, did you try USPS before? Have you successfully received your parcel? because I only bought one item and its also not worth more than RM 100.

wait, so now its slow or fast shipping will kena Customs/Pharmacy dept?
bruh, need an advice. I'm aiming for Inositol (its a vitamin that exists in Vitamin B Complex) which is used to control headaches...a better version of Panadol or Cafergot (Migraine pills which does not allow you to take more than 6 pills a week or it'll kill you). Aiming for 3 bottles for the most ideal shipping fee...its cheap @ RM128 via SkyNet (RM164 via DHL) but has 100 pills per bottle. At an average 2 pills per day (IF I take it everyday) its about 6 months supply. Price wise it might pass Customs but is the Pharmacy dept okay with 300 tablets even if its own use?

If 2 bottles, its not too bad too
RM97 via SkyNet
RM133 via DHL

Alternatively Blackmores has Reme-D but that's RM80 @ Lazada for one month supply only...pricy!!! Btw, this is not available anywhere else in Malaysia but Lazada is selling it =.=
*
1. A slightly better alternative to Panadol is "Naproxen", can buy from any pharmacy.
https://www.iodine.com/compare/naproxen-vs-tylenol

2. 300 tablet is NOT okay. Buying 3 bottles of the same brand is not recommended. I advise u to buy from different brand for each bottle.

3. Magnesium can also reduced migraine (Recommend Magnesium citrate/chloride/sulfate/carbonate/chelate)
https://www.medicalnewstoday.com/articles/322596.php

4. Better use Skynet. (Now is promotion period => FREE)

Btw, the info from jutamind is already outdated. IHerb no longer use the slow "DHL Global Mail". It now only use the fast "DHL Express".

what about 2 bottles?

I'm aiming for Inositol is because I can take it daily (vitamin), to prevent headaches from even starting. Naproxen is still a prescription isn't it?

Does anyone have the Farmasi Malaysia import guidelines?

I'm going to import some dry herb from iHerb and I remember reading a few years ago that dry herbs we're excluded from the supplement ban. Does anyone know for sure?

how long we can order again from iherb after the last purchase? Just afraid the custom will disturb if order too frequent.

Or using another delivery address would be better? Is it fine to order using a company address? Will custom disturb?

Which airport?
Penang only allowed you to order 1 time (through their port), regardless of the time/duration. After that they will seize.

Last time i ordered from Iherb using DHL Express, it goes thru Subang.
If the supplement brand from Vitacost is different from Iherb, it should be alright. If is it the same brand, then it will be a bit risky.

...but i think better don't.

Bro after reading some comments here, I am not too sure if it is outdated or not

I am from.selangor and wish to buy some dog supplements from iherb. About 5 bottles of the same supplement.

So the rule is still below RM 500 no tax and if use skynet and through subang airport it will not be confiscated??

What i'm know is "5 bottles of the same supplement" for Human comsumption for sure it will be seized. Not sure about animal though. But i think if the label clearly said it is for animal probably it will goes through. Since Bahagian Farmasi is not Veterinary.

Yes, RM500 & Skynet still remained.

Okay so if 4 bottles of the same supplement is fine?

What happens if the goods are seized?

What about other products like shampoos, grooming products, honey, or dried food?

Okay so if 4 bottles of the same supplement is fine?

What happens if the goods are seized?

What about other products like shampoos, grooming products, honey, or dried food?
*
2 bottles should be fine, more than that is risky.
If want to buy more than 2, make sure it is from different brand.

If seized, u can call the Bahagian Farmasi officer to appeal. Usually if you are 1st timer, they will released it with a warning.

Only applicable for product that are used for Eating or Applied on the human body.
Not applicable to brush, comb, nail clipper, mirror & etc.

Sarawak customs is very strict about imported supplements and will seize most of the time. If I ship to Selangor, then Poslaju it myself to Sarawak can pass? Local shipping won't go thru customs screening or any xray right?

What i'm know is "5 bottles of the same supplement" for Human comsumption for sure it will be seized. Not sure about animal though. But i think if the label clearly said it is for animal probably it will goes through. Since Bahagian Farmasi is not Veterinary.

Yes, RM500 & Skynet still remained.

Hi i dont really know how to use this platform, forgive me huhu. However I would like to know if, let's say I ordered 15 bottles of skincare (same products) but it is below RM500 and I live in Selangor, opting for SKYNET courier. Would pharmacy detain my items? Would reaallly appreciate your reply. Thank you!!

Unless you know the owner of that skincare brand overseas, it's quite unlikely that you'll be able to get the documents you need to retrieve your items.

Simple way was to buy just 2-3 qty per order (of same product). More than that, no idea.
U better consult Bahagian Farmasi & Kastam or go to their website for further info.

Have never purchased from iherbs before, now thinking if I'd buy from iherbs at cheaper price or simply purchase from Shopee/Lazada...

There are 4 supplements/vitamins I'd like to purchase, total price is around RM250 including delivery fee (free delivery actually) via Skynet.

Out of the 4 bottles, 2 of them are the same supplements/brands, other 2 are different brands.

Will I be facing any problem with such orders? It sounds risky to order from iherbs due to the custom check etc.

Appreciate your advice , thanks!

Thanks but little amendments to my order, is it still alright?

- 4 bottles around RM250 still

Out of the 4 bottles, 2 of them are the same supplements/brands, 1 is the same brand of the 2 bottles mentioned but a different supplement. The other one Is completely a different brand/supplement.

I bought 4 same bottles of fish oil (90 capsules) plus another bottle of other vitamin using SkyNet. Never had any issue with Kastam. In fact has been buying for years with no issues as long as don't go with fast shipping like DHL etc.

It is our telco having problem pointing to my.iherb.com
I just try using a VPN to Singapore server and it able to load iherb website.

Penangite update:

2020 December: First purchase with iHerb around RM400, 8 bottles of different vitamins via DHL. Kena white warning letter. Rookie mistake.

2021 February: Second purchase with iHerb. 2 bottles of Iron Supplements (60 biji per bottle), 1 bottle of vit D (120 biji) and 2 bottles of essential oil via skynet. Total RM100, Arrived with no issues. Interestingly skynet is pretty fast, received within one week.

Does it affect our purchases and shipment to Malaysia??

Thanks for the reply. No, there is no problem browsing & buying once I turn on VPN, which is understandable since iHerb is blocked by Malaysia, not by iHerb.

Gonna contribute to this thread by sharing my experience.

This is the first time I ordered from iHerb.

---

Items that I ordered:
1. One bottle of Vitamin B3 (100 caps)
2. One bottle of Vitamin B-complex (100 caps)

Destination: Sibu, Sarawak

Courier: DHL
- Decided to take a risk and choose faster shipping because I need the supplements for my cat that is suffering from kidney disease.

This is what I've got:

» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «

DHL promised to deliver it by 10 Feb 2021 and they did it but I got a warning letter as a gift. Meanwhile, I've placed another order of a variety of items and chosen Skynet as the shipping courier this time. Gonna test and see how it goes.

Dear members,

I think there are no issues on buying supplements ( Max 2 units per product).

How about other categories of items? For example, personal care like body wash, shampoo, lotion?

Or health food such as peanut butter, coconut oil and etc?

So far, Ezipoz which is operated by Pos Malaysia allows "Health & Personal Care" items to be brought in to Malaysia as long as those items are not prohibited. For a list of prohibited items, you can refer to this page regularly: https://www.ezipoz.com/tips-and-faqs/shipping-restrictions

This means that technically it is okay to buy shampoo, lotion or certain health food from Iherb through Skynet (as long as your purchase is not going to fall into the list of prohibited items).

iHerb has confirmed they are blocked in Malaysia, at least from Unifi/TM

I wonder why nobody here even notices this? I think they were blocked since like weeks or maybe 1-2 months ago.

Some pharma crony pulling their weight again, I suspect.

I had no idea the site was blocked. Been using alternative DNS and VPNs for years.

Why don't you try going there and see if you can go or not. I tried with Celcom line on my mobile phone, (different device/different connection) and they also will not allow the redirect to https://my.iherb.com

Only can go to the US website. https://iherb.com

The MY version seems blocked. And you will find it hard or maybe impossible to buy anything because you have to change your region to Malaysia, which will trigger the redirect again, and again will be blocked.

I bought my usual supplements from them recently (delivery arrived last week). Also just tried on phone (iOS, Safari) on Celcom 4G. If VPN is turned off, my.iherb.com does not load. But you can just use the Cloudflare 1.1.1.1 mobile app. Use the DNS function (no need to pay). If you turn that on, you should be able to access the MY iHerb site. I just tried and the site loads properly, I can log in, reorder my past order, selected shipping, and reached the CC input page. Didn'y complete the order of course, but I see no issues.

I usually order on laptop though, connected to home wifi (Unifi), VPN turned off (if not iHerb will email me saying someone accessed my account from whichever country my VPN exit node is based in) but my router is set to use Cloudflare DNS.

Also, iHerb has an app (on iOS, not sure about Android), so maybe you can try that.

Hope this helps.

P.S - I wonder if there's some online list we can check to see all the websites MCMC/ISP/Telco have blocked?

I don't know anything about this Cloudflare DNS. Can you explain more?

I already linked (in red) the app in my previous post. Just follow link, install for your platform (either from App Store or Google Play, depending on your phone type), launch the app and follow instructions. it's quite easy. After it's working, just re-launch your browser and try the my.iherb.com

iHerb used to be blocked during the Najib-era too, fyi. That KKM excuse is just bullshit, The real reason is either; 1. someone close to current government is a crony of Malaysian pharma companies and doesn't like the rakyat saving money, or 2. some idiot in MCMC saw the word "herb" and thought the site was selling marijuana and decided to block it. My bet is on reason 1.

I don't order things from my phone, only from my desktop.

So I tried to set my DNS using Cloudflare DNS which is 1.1.1.1 and 1.0.0.1 but again failed to get to the MY iHerb.

How come you say you can go and order from your laptop and summore using the Wifi from your Unifi?

As a sidenote, how come I am the first person to notice this block? Nobody orders from iHerb?

They are the cheapest BY FAR for any health supplements.

Really SMH at Malaysians.....

Oh, you said Celcom so I thought you were using the phone. I don't know what OS you're using on your laptop, or whether you want to set it for your laptop only or your whole house via the router. Best to search/ask in the Networks and Broadband section of the forums. Also, it's a good idea to clear your browser cache and cookies, since sometimes the browser retains the old iHerb cookies for the global site. Lastly if you're changing the DNS addresses manually on your router, make sure you're input both the ipv4 and ipv6 addresses. The Cloudflare link I shared also has apps for Windows and macOS, which is probably the easiest route for most people.

I can order from Unifi because my home router is set to override TM's DNS settings with my personal choice. I use a special DNS assigned by my VPN provider as primary, and Cloudflare's DNS as secondary. Not sure what router you're using, but I believe recent TM-issued routers don't allow users to disable remote management and override DNS, so you'll have to do it in your lapop's OS settings if that's the case (or buy a better router)

Yes, you might be the first person to notice this new block, but I believe a lot of Malaysians order from iHerb. They just use alternative DNS since the old days (Najib-era), I think, that's why they don't notice. Like I stated earlier, I've been ordering from iHerb for a few years already and never noticed it was blocked because I always use a VPN or alternative DNS.

Ah I see, so you are using a VPN after all. I had the impression that simply changing the DNS in my router to the Cloudflare one is enough to bypass this block.

But looks like in the end have to use a VPN still (which I don't like the idea of).

What VPN you use? I assume you have been using it for years now? So it should be safer lar.... blush.gif

No, no, simply changing dns works. I'm sure, because I tried it just now. Disabled my VPN and used Cloudflare's DNS settings only. You don't need a VPN for this. I use a VPN full-time for many reasons, but it's not necessary to simply get past MCMC block currently. If you're inexperienced, don't mess with your router. Just change the settings in Windows or macOS (or easier, install the app) and make sure to clear your browser cookies and cache before trying to access my.iherb again. I should work. Check the Networks & Broadband section of this forum. You should be able to get help there.

Also, I edited my previous post, so you might want to re-read again.

Why do you always say "install the app", as I am not using my mobile phone at all and don't intend to order thru it.

I did try just using the Cloudflare DNS but couldn't. I haven't tried with other laptop yet but....this is getting tiring. Will test later but not having high hopes.

I think it's odd you are the only one in this forum who seems to be buying from iHerb (besides me).

You know, the word "app" (short for application) is universal and has existed long before smartphones were invented, right?

If you went to https://1.1.1.1/ like I asked you to earlier, you would have seen the clickable buttons (and install instructions below them) for macOS and Windows applications as well.

Edit:
If you are using Firefox as your browser on laptop, there's another easier method. In Preferences (hamburger button), under the General section, scroll down to Network Settings and click the Settings button, and in the window that appears scroll down and tick the "Enable DNS over HTTPS" option and then select Cloudflare as the provider and click OK.

Thanks for the guidance in resolving this.

But I'm still pissed that TM and Celcom and even U-Mobile would appear to be blocking iHerb MY (in secret). Based on replies from some people at the Networks subforum....

Well, that's what we get for living in a third-world country. If possible, you should never use TM-issued router or let TM staff use your computer (even if they claim to "help" you set up). Frankly, I didn't even know iHerb was blocked until I saw your post because I've been using a VPN for many years, and even before that I was using alternative DNS providers. After searching, it seems iHerb was also blocked in the past, around 2017 to early 2019. Then it was unblocked. Now blocked again.

As for Celcom and U-Mobile, you can always install the CloudFlare app (or also the NextDNS app) to use encrypted DNS on your smartphone if you want to order from iHerb on your phone one day.

Tip: Maybe you already know this, but just in case you don't; Always use SkyNet as your delivery provider. DHL packages will almost always get inspected (because customs knows DHL customers pay more, so they'll suspect luxury goods), and then after that you'll get all sorts of headache due to the bottles not having the stupid KKM approval sticker. Also, try not to make single big orders. If you want to order a lot of products, try to split them up. Add just enough to each cart until you qualify for free SkyNet delivery, and then when that order has shipped, you confirm the next one. Better for your orders to come in multiple small boxes compared to one big box which customs may open up.

My last order from iHerb was March 12 and delivered on March 22 according to my iHerb Account order history page. I don't know if March 12 was before or after this new block by TM.

Keep us updated on your latest order. Let us know if there were any problems.

Best of luck.

I see no reason that they are bots. The iherbs does not allow you to write a review without buying that item before. However, you can also check the same product in Amazon to compare the reviews there for peace of mind shopping smile.gif

Just received my parcel from iherb without any issue. As what one of the people in here said before.. Purchase under rm200 tend to be safe.. Yes my items below rm200..if u plan to purchase a lot do in stages perhaps... I found their price is quite competitive even reasonable compared to local products including shipping fees... Might be reason for its website blockage in Malaysia.. Lol

*
This is due to the silly way their
programmers have designed
their website.

You have to change their entire site's settings to your region in order for them to
calculate the shipping, unlike
other merchants whose sites
simply does this based on
your country keyed in the
ORDER or CHECKOUT page.

Anyway, very simple -

1. Use the mobile app.

Firstly, don't go into MY.IHERB.COM (which I
hate, since all is in local
currency).

Go to WWW.IHERB.COM.
Make sure currency is in
US dollars (and reglon of
course US).

2. Use UC BROWSER, either mobile or desktop, which
has their own VPN and DNS.

3. Use SEAMONKEY browser, which I do.

I am unable to use UC's desktop version, since
I still use Windows XP, SP2. You need SP3 to use UC.

If you prefer, you can also
access My.Iherb.com.

Try it, and you'll find you
can easily go in Xhamster.
Xvideos and XNXX as well.

UC is by Alibaba.

Vitacost is alright, though shipping
is higher.

They send by SF Express .
about $ 14 basic.

Their discounts are more, so
that offsets the higher shipping.

You can try Bodybuilding.com,
but their stocks are not so diverse.

Betterlife.com has a wide range,
but they send by USPS and
charge by weight. Good discounts.

Will the shipment using SF Express by Vitacost be retained by Kastam?

QUOTE(Tham @ Jul 26 2021, 06:08 PM)
Vitacost is alright, though shipping
is higher.

They send by SF Express .
about $ 14 basic.

Their discounts are more, so
that offsets the higher shipping.

You can try Bodybuilding.com,
but their stocks are not so diverse.

Betterlife.com has a wide range,
but they send by USPS and
charge by weight. Good discounts.

It's regardless of what courier you use
- technically, they have a right to confiscate
any supplements or drugs imported
(which does not have the "MAL" number).

If you order just three or four items,
should be alright.

The airport pharmacist will normally
release it, if it is not more than two
bottles of each item. She might still
enclose a warning letter, like so many
of the others here have received.

If i were you, i would separate it to two different orders with the amount no more than 250rm, just to be on the safe side.

For me i usually keep it below rm200 but above 180 just so that i can get free shipping.

If any of u appreciate this new information please use my discount code:
Use this reward code WPP393, you will get 5%-10% discount when shopping at www.iHerb.com

Steps to key-in the Reward Code:
1. Add item you want to buy into Cart.
2. Key-in WPP393
3. Click [Apply]

May I know what was the item listing on the custom declaration on the package label? Is it detail product names + quantity or just a general 1-liner "nutritional supplements for personal use" ?

Was your package opened for inspection?

Just asking cos I just placed order. Curious about this.

Hi,

I ordered 3 bottles of different supplements for my mom in Sarawak from Iherb using Skynet c/o Rincos courier.

Its below RM220.

1. Vitamin C
2. Omega 3
3. D3 + K

However, when i check the tracking, got hold at HQ WHR, it said i need to provide Invoice or Packing list.

I thought iherb usually attached invoice outside the parcel itself so kastams can check?

Anyone mind sharing experience?

Attached file below.Attached Image Attached Image

By the way, how to register in Pictr to upload photo? Only got login but no new registration.

Well if it's Sarawak you might be unfortunate...

I ordered on 19 August, received via SkyNet on 26 August. I'm in the Klang Valley so it's like the poster above said, there is no custom declaration or item listing at all on the box. Just the sender and receiver's addresses, tracking number, order number and weight.

Usually when i order mine shipped to Philippines the invoice is attached outside the box.

Well, it's the URL I make my purchase though.

I have to use VPN as suggested cuz could no longer access to iherbs after my first purchase... doh.gif

But I have a question tho to others TS... Now buying from iherbs using Skynet still do not have to pay additional tax right? I remember the Govt mentioned there would be additional tax for overseas purchase, has it been imposed? Wanna make some purchase here...

Honestly, screw the Malaysian government for this. When people want to take their health in their own hands more grubby hands. The more I live in this country the less free I feel as you experience more and more things.

But this time items were shipped from HK instead of US.. Guess that depends on the items we purchase?!

anyways, stocked up too many supplements because I thought there would be tax imposed sweat.gif

I try to limit total amount around RM300-RM400 each order. I read somewhere RM400++ might be risky but I'm not sure, as long as do not exceed RM500.

I always make sure each item quantity not exceed 2 piece..

1. Subang (Region covered: KL, Selangor, Kelantan, Terengganu & Pahang)

N. Sembilan (Either Subang or JB Kastam)
Melaka (Either Subang or JB Kastam)

This may help

8.8. 8.8 is the primary DNS server for Google DNS. Google DNS is a public DNS service that is provided by Google with the aim to make the Internet and the DNS system faster, safer, secure, and more reliable for all Internet users.

With this, you do not need VPN to access iherb.

Happy Buying!

Another update:
The implementation of 10% tax on <RM500 have been postponed until 1 April 2023.

"The Royal Malaysian Customs Department (RMCD) in November 2022 announced a postponement of the implementation of sales tax on “low value goods” to 1 April 2023 (initially proposed to be effective 1 January 2023)".

iHerb site block and I tested Google DNS. It was working
1. Go to the Control Panel.
2. Click Network and Internet > Network and Sharing Center > Change adapter settings.
3. Select the connection for which you want to configure Google Public DNS. For example:

To change the settings for an Ethernet connection, right-click the Ethernet interface and select Properties.
To change the settings for a wireless connection, right-click the Wi-Fi interface and select Properties.
If you are prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.

4. Select the Networking tab. Under This connection uses the following items, select Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4) or Internet Protocol Version 6 (TCP/IPv6) and then click Properties.

5. Click Advanced and select the DNS tab. If there are any DNS server IP addresses listed there, write them down for future reference, and remove them from this window.

6. Click OK.

7. Select Use the following DNS server addresses. If there are any IP addresses listed in the Preferred DNS server or Alternate DNS server, write them down for future reference.

8. Replace those addresses with the IP addresses of the Google DNS servers:

For IPv4: 8.8.8.8 and/or 8.8.4.4.
For IPv6: 2001:4860:4860::8888 and/or 2001:4860:4860::8844.
For IPv6-only: you can use Google Public DNS64 instead of the IPv6 addresses in the previous point.
9. Test that your setup is working correctly; see Test your new settings.

10. Repeat the procedure for additional network connections you want to change.
