One negative against CRV - the turning radius is poor. Are all SUVs like that?

Maybe my old car is crap but during test drive it seems to be very good. Can make u turn seamlessly without much efforts

I'd say similar.. For instance, the CRV has a turning circle of 37.4 ft, while the CX-5 is at 36ft. Not a deal breaker, but something extra to test for.

You should check out Taiwan Tiguan user group if you can read Chinese and see what are their complaints, rattling is nothing compare to those. By the way, theirs are fully imported from German and released much earlier than MY.

Cannot do much on water condensation or fogging headlight and fog light, some of my cars has this problem and SC said is normal. You can claim as much as you prefer, can't 100 percent sure you won't get the same problem again with your new headlight.

As for rattling sound, I don't hear any. Bear in mind that my car was being stripped down (all door panel, A&B pillars, under dash cover, glove box, even both of the front seats are being removed) during my speakers and amplifier upgrade. So far didn't hear any annoying noise, and I agreed the engine sound is loud and rough when you rev it though. Also, the road and tires noise are audible but acceptable. Wind noise is very well insulated below 110km/h.

To my observation, after putting some miles on it (currently clocked 4k plus), the car ride softer and softer, becoming more comfy yet planted.
As I recalled, the moment I took delivery, the car is super stiff and harsh even after I deflated the tires right away (33psi all round).
VW Tiguan and CX-5 with 19" rims are stiffer to comparison.
Can't say I was adapted to it because the CRV is not my daily driver, my wife drive it the most.
Kudos to Honda, their NVH really improve a lot.

Avoid trapo mat at all cost. The design of the rear seat mat doesn’t fit at all. Contacted their customer service and they shamelessly ask me to return the mat to them and bear the return cost myself. Look at the picture, it doesn’t sit on top of the original Honda mat due to design flaw.

Same issue as @kianwee - wish you had posted about the flaw earlier!

Went to the One Utama roadshow last Friday evening (15/9/2017) and purchased the full set (Trapo Classic and Trapo Back) for the Honda CR-V 5th Gen since they had a 10% extra discount on top of the combo offer (30% off for Trapo Back only when purchased as a set). Was really only after Trapo Back but since it was roughly another RM150 to get the full set so I thought that I would give it a try.

Well, delivery was quick and I got the mat by courier yesterday (19/7/2017), ahead of the estimated delivery date this Friday (22/9/2017). Alas, the Trapo Classic rear seat mat doesn't fit properly - and you would have expected a PRECISE fit being a product CUSTOM-TAILORED for the Honda CR-V 5th Gen.

For the record, tried placing it (a) on its own as well as (b) on top of the Honda OEM mat. IMHO, it seems to fit better on top of the Honda OEM mat, albeit still a bad fit.

I suppose their sales representatives still lack full product knowledge. At the roadshow, I checked their FB page beforehand and there was this guy who complained that he specifically asked for the eyelet for the CR-V Gen 5 driver's seat mat (to lock the mat in place) and was told that it would be done. Of course there were no eyelets when delivered. So I took the opportunity to ask the roadshow staff whether there was an eyelet and the staff were clueless and kept saying that there is Velcro. One of the staff even said that there are eyelets (probably thinking that eyelets = velcro) before another staff corrected her and stated that there will be none.

The other thing was that the display car was a HR-V and I enquired as to the Trapo Back coverage for the CR-V Gen 5 - as to whether it covers the 2 'holes/pockets' at the cargo area. Was told that it would, but guess what, the Trapo Back I received does not.

Like salesmen don't have access to cars and cameras? tongue.gif Say, that's the requirements, how about folks like me who are more privacy conscious and wouldn't want to show face or plate number (blurred). Rejected join request huh.

Hmm... Could it be that some vehicles just have slightly different dimensions than normal. Hence not the perfect fit? How to buy Trapo like this..Do they have a 1-1 replacement or money-back guarantee if it doesn't fit?

I think the 2 holes/pocket u referring is not same height/level as the middle therefore it will be weird if the trapo back is one piece. I got the OEM cargo tray where it comes with the tray for the 2 pocket but it has to be cut away as it comes in 1 full piece. If not wrong, HM original tray doesnt not cover the 2 hole/pocket as well.

actualy u can put to the lower tier so that the 'pocket' will level with the middle. but the full size spare tyre prevent it to level it

kianwee at the boot, the floor of the boot is not flat end to end. Near the rear wheel casing, there's a pocket. I've seen some US models where they install a subwoofer at that pocket. I guess one could put a bag of shoes there. I wish I could find a bag that fits right in. It will be useful for tools or jackets. Or shoes.

Is your OEM cargo tray like the one sold by Raymond Loi at the Honda CR-V 2017 MarketPlace Malaysia (CRV 5th Gen MY) which seems to be the same as that below (from Lelong seller "JWCL")

user posted image

Agreed that it may be weird to have the Trapo Back in one piece covering the 'hole/pocket' but right now, I keep 1 spare box of facial tissues in each 'hole/pocket' and having it covered by the mat would make the cargo area more visually pleasing if you like it looking entirely flat. Anyway, not too concerned about the 'hole/pocket' not being covered as it doesn't really matter to me but simply annoyed that what was orally confirmed (after I asked specifically about the 'hole/pocket' coverage) was not what that was delivered. Simply put, goods did not fit description.

Consider sourcing small container (eg used plastic bottled water/aluminium beer container) that fits and fill up with filtered water to wash feet on rainy days. Or you can find an emergency 3-in-1 light (torch/blinking/lantern mode) that fits, something like those Energizer ones could come in handy. I however have those Xiaomi USB powered LEDs everywhere (all over the house, bags and car) together with power banks (not kept in cargo or other excessively hot areas of course), bright enough and adequate coverage when I had to change a tyre at night recently.

Official launch is just a month away. Sure you don't want to wait and grab that instead.
