declare list per item price don't write too high . <20-30usd. I only import computer stuff. Malaysia not tax yet.

The good agent will handle everthing. No pay extra charge. like UPS,DHL..

if you declare that low, then insurance also cannot cover 100%. If anything happens... matila. And how do u declare 30usd for let say plasma tv, the custom wont ask question or anything?

Greetings,

I recently have bought a handphone from ebay and apparently it's hold by the custom. I got a phone call from them and they gave me a reference number..

Now, I'd like to ask what should I be noticed or prepare before going KLIA to collect it?

How about the custom tax? It's a brandnew item..

Thank you.

AFAIK, most of electronics are charged ~10% import tax but the final price is negotiable if u use for private purpose (non-commercial) even exempted if less than 100 USD last time i heard. So declare the custom value less than 100USD but make sure to get insurance for that amount. If not mistaken USPS international economy can be insured for 100usd max.

There you go ! It's really hard to import electronics from overseas to be sold here in Malaysia. The customs will know and will surely tax you. What I do is usually I import them in 'open box' meaning you must know the seller very well so they can throw away the box and repackage it nicely to be shipped to Malaysia. This way I won't get tax smile.gif

I've read through some post here and got some usefull information like only item RM500 will likely to be taxed, but still I just wan to ask some question.

Recently I bought somesort of Japanese album from Yesasia and the album is in pendrive/thumbdrive form instead of disc. The price is around USD70-USD80. Its already shipped on 8th April and till this date I still didnt receive it. I use regular airmail so there is no tracking code.
So is there a possibility it kena tahan by custom?

Usually when I bought stuff from Japan or Hong Kong, it will arrived in around 2 weeks time. But more than 1 month seems too much for me.

Hi

I am thinking of importing cosmetics product from overseas. Anyway, I don't have licence / notification note.

I saw a lot of sellers who also import cosmetics without licence / notification note, but they still can operate in long term or handle pre-order items. How can they do that?

Anybody know how can I import cosmetics product without licence / notification note?

Thanks a lot!

recently i just bought an item from ebay and the seller send the item to me using US Postal Service Priority Mail International Small Flat Rate Box,initially i asked him he said that this method has a tracking number, but currently the seller said that the US post office tell him that this method doesnt have any tracking number..

-can anyone confirm this with me?

- normally how long does it takes to send from US to Selangor?

-does it require signature upon receiving?

-and will they send to me using pos laju or pas daftar or normal mail??

thanks in advance
