Last time I ordered Audio Technica earphones from overseas and by the time the courier arrived in KLIA, they called me telling me that the item got tax on it and need to pay RM69.
Duty Incurred: RM29.00
BREAKBULK FEE: RM0.00
Doc. & Proces. Fee: RM40.00
Total: RM69.00

What are these? Are they taxes?

I want to bring in cold air intake for my car from US, was already quoted good price for it from the seller around $400.

Will it be taxed by our government and how much would it probably be taxed for?

Thanks.

Hi I plan to bring in cctv cameras and hybrid dvr from china and total cost close to $900 excluding shipping,

I saw someone mentioned there should be no sales and duty tax but subject to sirim approval? I thought it only for wireless?

Also, I went on and bought Xiaomi phone from aliexpress but forgot to ask the seller to declare it as sample/gift. Will it be hold by customs later on? Is there anyone experience bringing in a phone or tablets from overseas?

Crap, importing a popcorn hour that cost $237 and now got taxed $109.40.
I thought electronic items such as media player are tax exempted?

Guys, I bought a car dvr from Aliexpress for USD140 received by Fedex and then sent it back for replacement, now that a replacement arrived, it was held by customs.

So, since this will be the first time I will visiting custom to clear my item, what should I be aware of?

Guys, is it all electronic devices need to go for sirim certification? I bought car dvr with no hassle and later returned for replacement since gps not working. Now the new one got held by customs and just now paid rm35 for sirim.

Hi, that rm49.80 poslaju handling fees, does it applicable whether or not the good get taxed? Even if item below rm500?

Item get held by customs, value <rm500. Applied for sirim myself. Still got to pay poslaju fees?

What do you mean if they declare it for me? Can you explain? THanks.

Yesterday I got charged RM49.80 on top of RM35 Sirim permit to get my item out. Went to Kastam/Poslaju myself, applied for Sirim myself. Is that normal?
So, it is not different than filling in the surat wakil and let Poslaju do all these for me right? wtf?
