QUOTE(RegentCid @ Jul 17 2017, 02:36 PM) Sry, I dont used any Data when I traveling. I still using old school way which is paper map. Agree on this. Especially with a baby and there is a change of weather between Malaysia and Japan, its better to be safe than sorry. As its your first day of vacation, better to get your baby and family back to the hotel safely and well rested. Dont forget you also have two big luggage and you also need to carry it around. So better pay a bit more for a taxi.Btw, I got own HP number at Japan, Those travel data package are not my kind of stuff to study it. Tokyo midnight train also called "Drunker Train" or '' Hell Train'' People will vomit , pee , shit inside train. I not kidding. I see too much until used to it already. Most of people won't take 11:30 onward train. some so drunk until take off all their clothes and lie on floor of train. You got Baby, if your baby make any noise inside train during this hour, sure kena fxxx by those drunker up side down. You have to calculate the risk |

I still using old school way which is paper map. thx for the tips, my bus trip is midnight and not able to catch the last train so taxi is my last option. Btw, I got own HP number at Japan, Those travel data package are not my kind of stuff to study it. Tokyo midnight train also called "Drunker Train" or '' Hell Train'' People will vomit , pee , shit inside train. I not kidding. I see too much until used to it already. From there to the bus stop is a short walk. More description here - http://hnd-bus.com/airport/guide/ticket.html Btw the site above seems to be for another bus company but directions are all the same. Who knows there could be a direct bus to itabashi itself, so just ask at the counter. They could well be selling tickets for many bus companies QUOTE(sacwoc @ Jul 17 2017, 05:39 PM) Agree on this. QUOTE(sweet_pez @ Jul 17 2017, 11:17 AM) You guys are splitting up is it? If that's the case then yes, more convenient to use SIM. 1gb for 7 days...not enough for mehttp://prepaid-data-sim-card.wikia.com/wiki/Japan FREETEL is cheaper than U-Mobile and you can find it in Yodobashi and BIC, scroll down link to check it out: Data rates The SIM is either valid for 7 or 30 days according to package and not extendable in time, only expandable in volume: 1 GB for 7 days: ¥1,780 plus tax (Amazon.jp/Yodobashi: ¥1,922; Amazon.com: US$12.99) 2 GB for 30 days: ¥2,780 plus tax (Amazon.jp/Yodobashi: ¥3,000; Amazon.com: US$24.99) When you have used up your data allowance, speed will be reduced to 150 Kbps for the rest of the validity. The only add-on option is 500 MB for ¥980 to be bought on their website. Social media of Facebook, WeChat, WhatsApp, Kakaotalk and Line is not debited from the data allowance and is free of charge. |

Please advice Hi there, is budget a concern? And what are you looking forward to do in this trip? Eg shopping or food trip? How much is your budget per pax? Most of us here DIY our trips, meaning we do research beforehand and plan our itinerary ahead. That saves money and you can take your time to enjoy or walk at your own pace. Also depending on how old your mum is - whether she's able to walk and take train following your pace or she has to take frequent breaks (with this, tour is better). Just want to understand more before any of us give any recommendation(s). |

Any idea about how's the review for this agency? QUOTE(sweet_pez @ Jul 18 2017, 04:29 PM) Hi there, is budget a concern? And what are you looking forward to do in this trip? Eg shopping or food trip? How much is your budget per pax? Budget around RM5-6k per pax. Our purposes to visit Japan are shopping and Foods Most of us here DIY our trips, meaning we do research beforehand and plan our itinerary ahead. Also depending on how old your mum is - whether she's able to walk and take train following your pace or she has to take frequent breaks (with this, tour is better). It will be very difficult to plan for the first time, plus recently my works are overloaded. So, we decided to signup tour package from travel agency. Next time will be DIY then and Yep, my mum is still can walk, run and jump. This post has been edited by soyabean123: Jul 18 2017, 05:13 PM |

Thanks for recommending. for shopping n foods i dun really recommend following tour, will be quite a waste of money. japan is by far one of the easiest country to visit even if u cant speak japanese, can easily plan out an itinerary in less than a week.My mum also ask me to check on Golden Destinations Travel, her friend told her to wait as there will be a promotion package. I'm for the DIY since you specifically mentioned Eat & Shop. What I'd do is below if I'm in your shoes.
1. Roughly plan what to eat and shop. 2. Ask recommendation where to get in (1). 3. Decide on region(Kansai/Hokkaido/Kanto/Tohoku etc) 4. Find out more on food/attraction in that region. 5. Decide number of days annual leaves to apply. 6. Plan itinerary. 7. Book flight/accommodation. 8. Wait for epic tummy tour. |

Regarding keisei line from Narita airport to Nippori will it be very busy around 4.30pm to 6pm? My flight arrive 3.40pm and destination to Komagome Station. Or else could go with the expensive option narita skyliner straight to Nippori. |

Next time will be DIY then and Yep, my mum is still can walk, run and jump. While I always root for DIY, I understand your situation. First time to any country (that don't remotely looks like KL) can be overwhelming and confusing. Since you have decided on tour, I agree with it as well. Not just itinerary, but Japan requires extensive research if you plan to walk around on your own. I doubt I'll be able to go around on my own, had it not been my friends who led the trip in my first visit. Because they brought me around and I experienced the place, I was able to plan my 2nd and 3rd trip without worry. Its because I know what to expect. For recommendation of agency, I'll root for Mayflower. Honestly speaking, I liaise with Mayflower on many occasions for event, trips (work related) and they are very professional. I'm not sure how much it'll cost for your trip to Japan, but you can rest assured that things are well taken care of with Mayflower. And they work transparently, so you don't have to worry about any hidden cost. Last but not least, with your budget, go for packages with more Free & Easy. That will enable you to enjoy shopping and food more leisurely. |
