SGproductDev is there any free unit for us to keep as a return for some honest reviews? Balance Armature looks promising.

Dear Akuma no Hana,

You could write in requesting for a sample and also stating the publication you are with via our website. =)

Or you could PM us your contact and we can help you forward it to the relevant department.

Sorry didn't have any website or publication. Thinking of maybe sending some of the lowyat people free units for reviews and post it in lowyat forum and maybe even the Malaysia's headphone forum, headjam.org

Dear Akuma no Hana,

Even in providing samples for reviewing, we've had many requests and we would have to review our reviewers as well, it's a two way process. =) It probably would be good to PM us some links of previous reviews you have done.

Hope this answers your question.

Hi Guys,

with posts like these from Power911, I can't help but take a huge chunk of salt to what this user writes online about SonicGear. The posts in the Speaker Discover Discussion by this user about SonicGear is non-constructive and not objective. Consider the source, I'd personally read unbiased reviews (online/magazines) about SonicGear speakers (which are pretty good) than a random forumer who's openly pure Edifier whistling.gif . By believing in credible audiophiles' reviews and my own judgement I've ended up with a sweet set of Armaggeddon A7. brows.gif

P.S. If you want to do something wrong, do it right. If you want to be a troll, be a troll with substance.

Peace,

Haha it's not about old posts, it's misleading. The posts I've read from you and a few others in the speakers discovery corner are sweeping one line statements that are simply untrue and biased. You guys have the bare cheek to comment unconstructively, with a few techno jargons thrown here and there and expect others to believe you? To think that such "helpful" comments are found in the audiophiles section... All I'm saying is that people come here for a verdict on products with reasons to back it up, and should use other sources if necessary to decide on their next purchase. Besides, if the posts are old and no longer true to you anymore why are they still there?

Peace

Pretty good spec. I'm looking forward for the reviews biggrin.gif
Normally I can't find a test unit for earphone, only can rely on users review.

But are they any improvements in material durability? Like able to withstand corrosive earwax, expose to sunlight and cable swing?

Dear buntA_sennA,

We truly are appreciative of the comments you've made regarding our products. For quite awhile we've been feeling like misunderstood children, with so much to say and to prove, but are taken aback by all the negativity and thus decided to keep mum. Obviously this was not a good way of dealing with the situation and your support both in words and actions is precisely what gives us the courage to step forth in the lowyat forums where we have often times been wronged. =)

With much grattitude and with a promise to do our best to live up to your expectations,
Team SonicGear

Dear power911,

We can understand that sometimes people do say things they do not really mean, be it in a folly or due to a misunderstanding and because we know it is our fault for not clarifying some of your doubts earlier that led to the situation we are in today, the SonicGear Team looks to blame no one but themselves for the bad management of our thread in the last few years. We are a young company, which has operated in traditional ways and did not have the time nor resources to plan our moves in forums and social media until recently. This was our mistake.

So, don't worry too much about the old posts. Of course we would be happy if after clarifying your doubts, that you would rectify your previous comments so that they are true to your current feelings, but we know this is a hassle and have no such expectations. =)

Even as we sit behind our computers and laptops, we are people too. Sometimes random firing at our brandname, especially those of us who have been in the company for many years, hurts us as much as when someone were to insult us personally. We ask of all forumers to bear this in mind.

With that, we are sincere in thanking you for your feedback where you have given us, and even the occassional comment about how other brands might be better. We look upon this is as important market data which directs us, in terms of which competitors have done well, and that we can learn from.

With humility and an open mind, we remain,
Team SonicGear

Hey Cosef,

Thanks for the compliments =)

Since we've always stated to 'Trust Your Ears', quite naturally SonicGear will try to push its major retailers to maintain a test set so that users can try out the earphones. =) We know this is unusual, but we know the importance of having to hear it for yourself.

Corrosive earwax is quite new to us. Frankly, we didn't even think about how corrosive earwax could be. But we will be using silcone earbuds which are everybit as durable as the ones used in our previous EarPumps which have received no complaints at all. Hopefully this would be sufficient =)

The overall quality and build for these EarPumps to be launched are modeled based on our current EarPump series, which are insanely popular (beyond our expectations) in Singapore and Malaysia. There have been very few complaints about the quality of the build of this series, but we will keep an eye out for your concerns regarding sunlight and cable durability.

Hope this answers some of your questions and the SonicGear team is every bit as excited (if not more so) about the arrival of our EarPumps. =D

Regards,
Team SonicGear

When you released the specs of the products can you also released the MRP price of the products as well. We are quite interested in the price.

As for reviews i find that there is a shop in lowyat that would be a good place as they allowed you to use your own sources for reviewing and they have quite a lot of product for a-bing also. I also hope the possibility to allow the users to adjust the volume for the IEM being tested in PC fairs and other fairs in Malaysia. I find that the volume being use are not just only dangerously loud, they have exceeded the capability of the system being use making it lost it's natural sound signature and produce a very sharp treble and lacks bass. But i do like the idea of pc fair in splitting the headphone section to a more quiter section for reviews and testing while the speaker will be put at another section of the hall to compete with the other competitor.

Dear Akuma no Hana,

For now we do not have the finalized prices and we will release it as soon as it is available. =)

As for using your own sources, each store may have their own policies with reards to using your own sources, this is something we probably would not interfere with because it is not within our jurisdiction.

Regarding PC-fairs, we can only say that it really is quite complicated running a booth and decisions regarding allowing users to adjust the volume for the IEM as well as the separation of speakers and headphones into two different sections of the hall involves many different factors, which affect our decision making, besides that of an environment where customers can best test our products.

We do think that there are good suggestions however and and will keep them in mind =) they may become sources for even better ideas in future.

Thanks and Regards,
Team SonicGear

I've bought a SonicGear Earpump2 at PC Fair on April 2011. Now the earphone is giving me problems. Sometimes either left or right side doesn't have sound at all... Randomly alternating...
It's very annoying when listening songs or watching movies then suddenly one side like "deaf". I still have the purchase receipt with me...
Can i exchange a new one and where can I do it? I saw there's a service center in Lowyat Plaza... It's more convenient for me...

I've had my fare of such experienced some years ago.. sweat.gif

Yes, you should be able to get a 1 to 1 exchange within the 1 year warranty period.

Anyway, I'd better be wary of QC before I spend my hard earned money on it rolleyes.gif

p/s: @SGproductDev

Do clarify that within the 1 year warranty period, we can get 1 to 1 exchange for as many times as we can?

My friend had an Evo 3 and claimed warranty so many times till they even decided to extend his warranty tongue.gif
(some of the reasons why I don't buy sonic gear... they just die... hope there are improvements in the future products like how SGproductDev promised biggrin.gif)
