Yeah right.The Maxis consultant would just make a fool out of you.You can threaten to report police or whatever for what they care.It just makes life hard for yourself only and do remember you need to pay for the police report.
It's not easy dealing with ECPs.You take them down today tomorrow they'll be some other Kiosk up with a new number.This is a work of a few parties which are eager to have your money.

Coming from my experience, the consultant would just tell you that these content is not by them but in reality, the telco is the 2nd largest beneficiary from all these sms scams after the ECP itself.Think of this, why would you allow other content providers to use your network if there's no advantage out of it?

Implemented anti spamming server since July?That European who worked for Maxis must be either on weeds or he was told to publicly say so to calm the situation down for the time being.Who told him to do so?You know I know la, who are his superiors?Mind you, his superiors may be too busy eating rice on banana leafs in their offices.Afterall, Dr. Dobberstein is just earning his wage over here. sweat.gif

I called up 123 in 3 occasions for bill discrepancy and dispute, and in all these occasions maxis rebated back the amount to me, sometimes RM5 or RM10 more just to make me happy. Maybe I am their Tier-1 Customer tongue.gif (auto-debit and amount more than RM200 every month)?

It's useless to get the refund from their customer service centres. I happened to overhear the conversation between maxis CCC with another chinese auntie. THat maxis CCC was basically bluffing all the way. vmad.gif (maxis centre Ipoh) and so lansi lanyong to the auntie. SHe told her the same story - not maxis fault lar ,etc , etc RUBBISH

If I were her, I would have screamed at that CCC and put her at her place. I am very good at making scenes tongue.gif If cannot get rebate at least song. but too bad the auntie dutily paid the amount to Maxis. I still remembered that LCLY maxis CCC.

THis is the weirdest thing I ever encountered with maxis. Spoofing is a well known issues among the telco circles and maxis colluded with other ECP to reap as much profit as possible from customers BEFORE the issues got highlighted by the Customers. How can you tell me Maxis has no hand in this? it's profit sharing between Maxis and ECP. Maxis is collecting the money on ECP behalf. how can maxis not be involved in any of these scams??

THe another sick insider-story is these ECP has multiple codes registered under different companies, but basically owned by same tycoon.

THis is when DIgi ethics is superior to maxis.

Whenever Maxis got a complaint on spoofing, Maxis will only block that ECP code to that particular customer.
Digi , on the other hand, will ban the ECP to its ENTIRE network, not only that, DIgi will also ban the ENTIRE lines of shortcodes owned by te company.

because of stringent enforcement by Digi, there are tycoons who are very pissed with the people in charge in Digi, some of them even giving threats to bash up these people who are just doing their job.

LIke I suspect, this entire spoofing thing is a conspiracy among the telcos.

You sound like one of those useless Maxis consultants that advised me the last time.Those numbers you posted looks like it was cut out and paste from somewhere.
If I could call them up and complain things won't be like this already.
You think we consumers are stupid?

The 2 hotline numbers you posted are useless and don't even try calling them because you'll be charged as outstation calls from fixed lines.Those numbers will only link you to some 3rd party dumb call centre which Macro Kiosk outsourced out to.Some would just route you to some automated answering machine/wrong number.

Even if you successfully manage to contact and screw them, the ECPs cannot do anything accept giving you empty promises like refunding you in cheque later on & etc.Don't expect them to deduct the amount from your bills because this belongs to Maxis's billing system, ECPs cannot interfere with Maxis billing. They will just "ping-pong" you back to Maxis and back&forth you go like a fool.
You can report police or whatever you want, by the time the police look into this issue the ECP person will "cabut" already.

At the end of the day you don't pay your bills the telco would just suspend your line and the blames will be ultimately be directed all back to you even though they tell you that it's not by them?How lame the excuse can be?

i just called maxis and f**ked them. they've reversed charges for all 3 of my lines. imagine its RM29.90 x 3 lines!!!. dumbasses are taking money from under our noses!!!


Added on October 17, 2007, 2:38 pmmaxis will reverse the charges and it'll be waiver in next months bill. now im thinking to switch to celcom

1st, I am not working under Maxis or neither am Maxis consultants
I copy paste direct from the ECP from Hotlink Website.
You complaint to Maxis? They won't even bother, they will just say they can't do anything. What to do? I will just directly shoot ECP, I called up ECP a few times and this operator knew me very well, once I call up, always ask for the numbers and will get refund.

I got my refund for 3 times already.

Firstly it'll be almost difficult to find that ECP site on Hotlink website as a normal site reader.You happen to find that link by chance or you've been educated to tell that to customers?

Complain to ECP? MacroKiosk does not have dedicated operators to pick up your calls.They outsource them to call centres which are useless and are just there to pickup your calls so that they can reek in more profits from the numbers u call.Frustrated as u become, they are hoping that u'll just give up and forget about the whole thing.At times you'll just hear the answering machine.

I would also like to know how they refund you because there's no way they can deduct the amount from your Maxis bills.

You still need to pay all your Maxis bills including the ECP charges if not your line will risk suspension/barring!

So how long you've waited before they compensated you again?Tell the truth..Mind explaining the process?How troublesome it was?They may know you well or you may be one of their staff, I am really surprised, from the way u sounded that the whole process was hassle free.

I repeat, I am a customer myself, not Digi, Maxis, Celcom staff.

Outsource? Oh really? Didn't know that, they just get my info and reload for me.

I am using prepaid, PREPAID! So I don't need to pay any Maxis bill, I got credit on my number.

Answering machine? Nope, not once at all.

How long I waited? 1 week only. Do I need to tell lie over here? Do you think I am so free as customer? Again, I am not Maxis/Digi/Celcom staff!!!

FYI ECPs do not have access to neither Maxis as well as Hotlink subscriber accounts.Where did you pull your facts from is highly questionable. ECPs CANNOT just top up credit to Hotlink prepaid accounts and they do not have access to Maxis billing system to reverse the charges for postpaid users.At the end of the day the ECPs are required to liaise with Maxis ECP Department to manually reverse the charges.This part is highly questionable because seldom they'll acknowledge that its their fault on their part.

Yeah right brows.gif The ECP operator went out to buy top up tickets and top up your number.If they can do that the telcos better beware cause ECP providers will get to use their lines for free.Every transaction is accounted for and the telco is responsible in keeping track of them.If its going to be like what you say, everyone would be getting free lunch.

I am a prepaid user for 6 years and did a lot of top-up. What kind of top-up I do know.

Later after this afternoon my dad topup RM10. at around 8.00pm today he got sms from 32278, and when he check his credit, the balance is RM0.00. WTF vmad.gif vmad.gif They send the sms each time after my dad topup. Almost RM100 they steal from my dad. Sometimes I also kena. Tomorrow gonna go to maxis center. I'm gonna curse the owner of this F****** company.and their generation too.. May them soon be dead in a car accident vmad.gif

Why the authority don't do something about this? How bout report this sms scam activity to the media? I think we got enuff proof to fight already. Plus, Pilihanraya near already maa..the government may take an action for this case. I'm so pissed off with this S**t.

why you all will just blame maxis itself but not the ECP company...lol...You don't need the ECP services but doesn't mean other are the same as you.If Maxis barred all the ECP shortcode some ppl will complaint..seem that Maxis can't satisfy all the customer..haha
