Yeah right.The Maxis consultant would just make a fool out of you.You can threaten to report police or whatever for what they care.It just makes life hard for yourself only and do remember you need to pay for the police report.
It's not easy dealing with ECPs.You take them down today tomorrow they'll be some other Kiosk up with a new number.This is a work of a few parties which are eager to have your money.

Coming from my experience, the consultant would just tell you that these content is not by them but in reality, the telco is the 2nd largest beneficiary from all these sms scams after the ECP itself.Think of this, why would you allow other content providers to use your network if there's no advantage out of it?

Implemented anti spamming server since July?That European who worked for Maxis must be either on weeds or he was told to publicly say so to calm the situation down for the time being.Who told him to do so?You know I know la, who are his superiors?Mind you, his superiors may be too busy eating rice on banana leafs in their offices.Afterall, Dr. Dobberstein is just earning his wage over here. sweat.gif

You sound like one of those useless Maxis consultants that advised me the last time.Those numbers you posted looks like it was cut out and paste from somewhere.
If I could call them up and complain things won't be like this already.
You think we consumers are stupid?

The 2 hotline numbers you posted are useless and don't even try calling them because you'll be charged as outstation calls from fixed lines.Those numbers will only link you to some 3rd party dumb call centre which Macro Kiosk outsourced out to.Some would just route you to some automated answering machine/wrong number.

Even if you successfully manage to contact and screw them, the ECPs cannot do anything accept giving you empty promises like refunding you in cheque later on & etc.Don't expect them to deduct the amount from your bills because this belongs to Maxis's billing system, ECPs cannot interfere with Maxis billing. They will just "ping-pong" you back to Maxis and back&forth you go like a fool.
You can report police or whatever you want, by the time the police look into this issue the ECP person will "cabut" already.

At the end of the day you don't pay your bills the telco would just suspend your line and the blames will be ultimately be directed all back to you even though they tell you that it's not by them?How lame the excuse can be?

Firstly it'll be almost difficult to find that ECP site on Hotlink website as a normal site reader.You happen to find that link by chance or you've been educated to tell that to customers?

Complain to ECP? MacroKiosk does not have dedicated operators to pick up your calls.They outsource them to call centres which are useless and are just there to pickup your calls so that they can reek in more profits from the numbers u call.Frustrated as u become, they are hoping that u'll just give up and forget about the whole thing.At times you'll just hear the answering machine.

I would also like to know how they refund you because there's no way they can deduct the amount from your Maxis bills.

You still need to pay all your Maxis bills including the ECP charges if not your line will risk suspension/barring!

So how long you've waited before they compensated you again?Tell the truth..Mind explaining the process?How troublesome it was?They may know you well or you may be one of their staff, I am really surprised, from the way u sounded that the whole process was hassle free.

Not troublesome at all, the operator pick up. Only 1 operator will be working, as she pick up my call and my e-mail is she the one who replied. I send e-mail and call at the same time.

Hassle free? I could say so for MacroK, for other company I am not sure.

FYI ECPs do not have access to neither Maxis as well as Hotlink subscriber accounts.Where did you pull your facts from is highly questionable. ECPs CANNOT just top up credit to Hotlink prepaid accounts and they do not have access to Maxis billing system to reverse the charges for postpaid users.At the end of the day the ECPs are required to liaise with Maxis ECP Department to manually reverse the charges.This part is highly questionable because seldom they'll acknowledge that its their fault on their part.

Yeah right brows.gif The ECP operator went out to buy top up tickets and top up your number.If they can do that the telcos better beware cause ECP providers will get to use their lines for free.Every transaction is accounted for and the telco is responsible in keeping track of them.If its going to be like what you say, everyone would be getting free lunch.
