I not sure.

Since it have no screw hole for brush to be taken out, it should be brushless kua ?
*
I think both also can be taken out. Difference is brushes will have some sparks when running sometimes. Brushless produce 0 spark.

Thanks anyway, probably I'll just go for normal brushes one. More than 1.5k for a impact driver is kinda waste, since you can't drill wall with it. I can get another hammering cord drill with that amount of money.

Opp, Sorry.

I forget that 12v do have impact drill.  blush.gif

Cause for me, 12v impact drill mostly for screw driven. Not means for concrete and wall drill. Cause it have no punch.

I have the Makita 12v impact drill.  biggrin.gif

Actually not really like to use it.

I brought the inch size. Instead mm.

Some bolt head different size or mm, will not in the center when engage. So when turning, the drill will wobble. Sometime caught me off guard and twist my hand.

If the thing you cut does not exceed 2cm thich, the 12V circular saw is good enough.
Just cut slower don't push it too hard.

Guys, need some opinion before I proceed to buy.

I'm getting cordless impact drill, probably 12V or 18V to get my job done. Question is should I go for 400~700 bucks brushes motor or 1.5k above for brushless motor?

I heard it last longer by 10x? But I'll be using it for DIY projects only. So I won't using it frequently.
*
DIY projects don't really need brushless, you don't need the extra runtime offered by brushless motor.
Its not like you will be using the drill for 6 hours non stop.

Sorry boss, Impact driver to be exact then I'll use drill bit on it.
*
If you got the budget, get a drill and a impact.
Eventually you will get fed up keep changing the drill bit and screw driver bit

Bosch GSB + GDR will be good combination.
However that makita 10.8v flat pack battery drill driver + impact set also looks good.
Flat pack battery --> your drill can stand.

Thanks for the feedbacks. I'll just go for top quality brand's brushes motor, either Hitachi or Makita.

I do some DIY woodworking too, 2AH battery usually can lats me a month.
With the Makita and Bosch fast charger, it takes about 15-20 minute to fully charge a 2AH battery.

Hi sifu-sifu, been going through this thread for the past couple of days. Just starting out with home woodworking. Need your advice on my next purchase. I have a bosch 12v drill and I want to purchase a saw next. Am looking at the 12v jigsaw GST-12v and the GKS-12v circular saw. Which on should i get first considering I'll be doing most of my woodworking things right in front of my front door since I live in an apartment. Prior to this I have been using handtools. I'm considering a cordless one cause I can bring it down to the yard at the back of the apartment to do some cutting where there are no power supply access. I'll be cutting mostly salvaged pallet boards and beams.
*
The gst12v jigsaw seriously underpowered. Skip it and buy a corded jigsaw. Or get the 18v model but that is close to rm1k or more than 1k cant remember.

Dont have the gks12v so can't comment. But I have the jigsaw.
