Thank you Zot and ceo684

Was thinking of either GSR 180-LI or GSR 18V-50 for general screwdriving work and minor drilling.

For concrete drilling, was thinking of GBH 2-26 DRE or GBH 2-26 DFR.
The metal frame will be mounted to concrete walls and some other drilling stuff to concrete... would need around 38 holes for concrete. so, was planning to get the GSR 180-LI or GSR 18V-50 for minor drilling and screwdriving and either the GBH 2-26 DRE or GBH 2-26 DFR for concrete drilling. Will generally be drilling to a max of 12mm holes in the concrete for the anchor bolts.

These models would be sufficient right? or would there be another better brand out there?  basically i choose bosch coz there are the most sold and my current tools are bosch. they did last more than 5 years. or more than 10. was also looking at quaza (or quasa or qaza) for the cheaper price. not sure if its okay though.
*
I'd say if you are on cordless, you may want to stick on one brand because battery is expensive to invest in several brand smile.gif

I don't know anything about Quasa. Probably just local brand made in China?

Between GSR 180-LI or GSR 18V-50, I'd go with the later brushless DFR.

For GBH 2-26 DRE or GBH 2-26 DFR, the DFR advantage would be on the quick change chuck for non-SDS wood and metal drilling.

They are more than adequate for even weekly DIY and will serve more that 5 years smile.gif

Hey, where do you guys source the varies size and type of screw, bolt, and nut?
*
Small qty CSM hardware.. they stock cheese head and countersunk types

If you need in bulk qty CSM or larger hardware shops should have it

My rotary hammer comes with an SDS fit normal chuck adapter. Luckily I also have happer drill with normal chuck also if need to use small drill bit.  laugh.gif
*
Usually the normal round drill bit will be either HSS or tile bit.. rest of it (concrete drilling) I use SDS bits so it fits perfectly. Round ones I use the GSR180 only coz tile bit max 500 rpm so no need powerful machine

More than enough, since you are drilling 12mm in concrete. These (2-26) output 3J force.
DFR better than DRE for all purpose bit selection.

I've successfully drilled M10 (10mm) sleeve anchor holes in concrete wall too using the 2-24 (output of 2.7J) and also chiselled out trenches using 20mm chisel, works fine.

Was looking for cordless power drill for some drill on tile to install curtain rails, some hanger on the door/ wall perhaps maybe some concrete. Once housework done maybe use to unscrew some motorcycle nuts and etc. Now looking on Bosch GSB120-LI.. Does it able full fill my work..?

Shoppe/Lazada selling set with 2x battery comes with some drill around Rm300.. possible ACEware/Hardware shop will be cheaper?

Brushless itself is not new but recently more popular in power tool. Normal motor has carbon brush which will wear out someday. However, it can be easily replace. Brushless motor has no carbon brush thus no need to change anything. However it is more expensive, just like anything newly introduced into market biggrin.gif

For occasional DIY like you and me, no big deal. I have not wear out any carbon brush yet for many year. Maybe you will use more than me. Even every weekend use also will last more than 5 years perhaps. By that time there are new model wihich is probably better than current brushless one laugh.gif

You can google youtube and seach for brushless power tool whatever.

It is not like you do business cutting wood continuously for hours. I think most would not bother much.

You can only solve problem for yourself by using ear plug laugh.gif

Ahh, i see, thanks for the explain..

So the one i bought is not a brushless motor, right?

But yea, i not sure how deep will i get for this kind of "hobby" and how long XD

Guess general maintenance will last me quite long enough.

Yes, not a brushless, but perhaps you end having 2 drivers when hate to change from 1 bit to another bit.

Example: You want to drill many holes in in brick wall and then put wall plug and then screw. You will find that you want to have one with screw driver bit and one with drilling bit.

Me first buy normal hammer drill. Then get more powerful hammer drill (gave old one to dad in home town). Then later much faster to use rotary hammer drill and end up buying one. Yes the hammer drill has speed control but still too fast and cannot control torque. So end up buying drill driver yes.... my first cordless one.

You started late and get to find more option and versatile tool biggrin.gif

Yes BL traditionally was more expensive but BL ones nowadays due to economy of scale have made their way as kinda standard feature.. like ABS for cars when first started is not common.. now almost all new cars have it

If landed one technically no restrictions (unless got area rules) so as long as you dont do it too early should be ok la..personally for me afternoon time should be ok... just not 7am on weekend.. just heads up next doors that on sat afternoon or so i wanna do some wood work so they can plan to go out for lunch etc..

Under normal consumer use BL or brushed also won't wear out that fast. Carbon brushes are common spare parts, for bosch, makita easily ordered online or major dealers.

Same, somehow I started with corded rotary hammer, then bought cordless rotary hammer coz if cut power (for electrical installation) easier, then as rotary hammer too powerful and no torque control it strips screw heads so easier to get cordless drill driver.

The cordless rotary works fine for small wall plugs.. if i drill bigger hole for sleeve anchor like 10mm ones I will prefer the corded one coz more force (2.7J vs 1.7J) coz the construction of the concrete wall sometimes kena hard stone one.

Best to get the right tool for the job, saves a lot of time especially when condo only limited noisemaking hrs (9am-1pm) so for me easier to drill with rotary hammer, drills in seconds rather than 5-10min per hole. Usually I will plan to drill all the holes first then only install the screws last coz that part not critical (silent)

I know it can but not recommended right?

True. Very convenient. The price is not about shipping but also convenience like 7-11.

The price can b 4 or 5x higher on electronic components. I'm in contract manufacturing and familiar with the pricing wink.gif

Yes. you can see the more quantity there the price drop fast, but I was trying to tell you it is still expensive.

However for people like you and me. It worth since no need to go shop and search. Not big qty. Like one stop for most if not all stuff wink.gif

I also don't mind buying things hard to find.

The major advantage is that they are open on Sat & Sun, for 20-50 pcs still cheap enough;
whereas the cheaper places don't open on weekend, some hardware shop does carry but only Sat, and you must know the right places to go;
and for consumer use they sell small packs (not MOQ 1000 pcs screws)
