QUOTE(Skylinestar @ Feb 20 2021, 10:03 AM) you just need to chat with celcom on fb. simple as that. here's my poor experience with volte: voice gets lots of interference (like having poor signal) in certain areas. never had such problem if drop to 3G. i guess i'll just prefer 3G instead of 4G volte for voice call. . The likely reason; ... Most 4G LTE cell towers have a range/reach of about 1km/1,000m only, even though the maximum range for LTE Internet data and VoLTE/IMS is 5km or 3 miles(= high-powered cell towers on 4G LTE 800MHz to 900MHz frequencies). In comparison, 3G/2G cell towers have a maximum range of 22 miles or 35km for Voice calls and SMS. ....... https://opencellid.org/#zoom=16&lat=3.07197&lon=101.61368https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cell_site"In addition, some technologies, such as GSM, have an additional absolute maximum range of 35 kilometres (22 mi), which is imposed by technical limitations. So, the average quality and reliability of 4G VoLTE calls and IMS are definitely much lower than 3G/2G. Which celcos will still be maintaining 2G after 3G has been taken down at end 2021.? Eg YTL YES has no 3G or 2G, ie only 4G. ....... https://www.malaymail.com/news/malaysia/202...to-know/1898557 - 2020/08/30/Malaysia-to-switch-off-3G-by-2021-here-are-six-things-you-need-to-know https://www.malaysianwireless.com/2020/09/m...2g-voice-volte/ - 2020/09/malaysia-3g-shut-down-maxis-celcom-2g-voice-volte/ = seems Celcom and Maxis will still be maintaining 2G after 3G has been sunset. . QUOTE(LA773 @ Feb 19 2021, 08:08 AM) Sifu, How to check if mine is volte enabled ya? if you are in 4G area, try to make a phone call.. If celcom signal from LTE drop to H+, then it is not VoLTE enabled.. of course it is also depending on your phone setting.. make sure enable VoLTE before your try.. or you could check on your phone dialer, it will show an icon "HD" if it is VoLTE phone call.

Can Celcom mega share hot spot for free ? If thinking about hotspot, forget Celcom/Xpax... Go for either " webe P1" PRE-paid or DUP35... but since U edy knew the " webe P1" performance at ur location, DUP35 is ur next experiment... In the meantime, Celcom coverage is bad at this location: But YouTube Vanced is flying nevertheless...

Question for ppl using the XPax RM35 unlimited plan:
1. Does it allow users to download torrents using the hotspot? I hv a work line with Maxis and they block torrents.
2. Does the hotspot add-on mean you can buy 20GB hotspot quota for RM10? I use around 10GB/month thru my laptop.
3. Is the 3mbps speed fast enough? I don't need to stream movies, just research shares and buy/sell online thru the stockbroker.
Thanks, any information would be much appreciated.

Don't think torrent is a allowed with xpax. Is there still any telco that allows torrent? 2. Yes. 3. Don't know what about 'buy/sell online thru the stockbroker', but it's enough for me to enjoy astro go and other streaming platforms. The 1st thing I did when I mnp to xpax is to binge watch the whole 6 seasons of The Sopranos on astro go
