Hi

I am not sure if I need an upgrade or not but need some advice for my home net work situation. Previously I am using UNIFI 50 Mpbs plan with their stock router Dlink 850L with TP- Link AV500 Pass through Powerline Wifi Kit. My PC connected via wifi to the plug extension via wifi and able to get the speed by the network provider. However after upgrading to the 100 Mpbs plan, I am able to get the speed promised (UL 100 DL 50) when I run speed test on the Dlink network 5GHz wifi band and LAN connection to the D link router. However on the powerline adapter I only able to get DL 50-65 Mpbs UL 30-40 Mpbs using network cable and wifi connection. I have make sure no other user connected to the network when I ran the test. So I believe the bottleneck could be from the powerline side. What do I need to do to fully get the 100 DL and 50 UL? Thanks. nod.gif

Oic.
My another question is the movie streaming of 1080p resolution with Dolby digital sound system. Some of the drama and movie I watched in stremio with this high res always buffer n I have to watch them in 720 p. Is it because 100 mbps is not enough for high res video like 1080 p with quality audio? Some of the 1080 p video I can watch but it s audio is analog only. I’m curious of where I should begin with? I have even bought the cat 8 cable but it’s still buffer. My tvbox is minix and it’s gigabit network too. I wonder if 100mbps package is not good enough ? Tks

Stremio is an aggregator of legit n illegit addons... p2p streams or otherwise... much like kodi.

100mbps is good enuf for what u r looking for.

What u get as output from the app depends on yr choice of link, choice of player app and yr box.

Unless v old Minix, it shud be fine. Try using a diff player app when inside stremio, e.g. kodi or mx pro.

While the app is rather easy to use, it may have too many bottlenecks and checks as it is a facilitator app, rather than standalone.

U should find a better experience with kodi quasar or elementum which works much the same way.
