Disable smart connect and use channel 44 for the 5Ghz band else the RE series will not detect the 5Ghz channel.

This is becuase TP-Link RE series does not support Ch 149 - Ch 161.

Anyway please share what is the speed you get when connected to the RE. I've not tested using a cheaper RE so I am curious how big of a difference compare to the RE505X.

It works, thanks.
I can get about 150-160mbps using RE300

Hi,

I actually wish to buy a new router. Considering ax73 with onemesh extender. But comparing to deco m4 2 pack which is cheaper but doesn’t support WiFi 6, is the coverage, performance and experience using ax73 with extender better than deco m4? Thanks.

Actually both are different, AX73 with OneMesh extender is AX and M4 is AC. If your home broadband package is between 100-300Mbps maybe you can consider M4, it will be more stable and realiable.

I was thinking to get OneMesh extender too, but it hold me back, maybe you can do some study before you buying.
I saw this review, this guy comparing OneMesh extender + OneMesh Router, work as OneMesh and Router + Extender, seem like the performance of OneMesh extender + OneMesh router is not as good as remain the extender to work as extender https://youtu.be/ojnBVDbFhGw

And from my study, I not sure why OneMesh extender is so expensive compare to a router, this is what I can't understand.

all this is my humble finding, maybe some sifu can help to here??

Anyone facing issues with random disconnect/reboots for AX20? I'm getting it rather frequently and it is getting to be really annoying.

I see a firmware update (Archer AX20(US)_V2_210128) was released in February to fix this but it was only for v2. Any news for v1.2? Or has anyone tried updating v2 firmware to v1.2?

Yeah, I tried that before but the problem came back. Since there is a firmware update that fixes the issue, was hoping can upgrade to that instead.

Can I check if I am setting up TPLink Mesh X20 in AP mode instead of being router, will this affect network speed and seamless roaming? Thanks.

Anyone with archer C1200 and archer AX10 cannot change dns? If i change both ipv4 and ipv6 dns to cloudflare 1.1.1.1 doesn't take effect, keep using TM Net dns. Why?

are you sure you put the correct DNS number

For IPv4:
1.1.1.1
1.0.0.1

For IPv6:
2606:4700:4700::1111
2606:4700:4700::1001

After entering the correct DNS number, make sure you restart your router.

Yea both are correct and I've restarted many times already and no change. Previously with streamyx can change no issue also.
