Hmmm, my experience with the S8 is quite the opposite actually. Of all the Samsung devices I've owned before, this one seems to be the best in terms of standby power consumption. Could it be something to do with Android Doze? Anyways, the standby time is not spectacular by any means, but for a 3000 mAh Android device from Samsung, this one has better battery performance compared to the Note 5 which I previously owned.

Which could explain why Samsung had the audacity to put a retail price of 2,999 for the Tab S3, ha ha.

I'm using the S8+. I'm staying in a condo, and I unplug from charger before I get out of home, so it's fully charged 100%. By the time i reach condo carpark, already drop to 99%. By the time I reach office which is half hour away, 98%. Simply not acceptable. I'll let it settle for few more days, today ady 4th day using.

With that GTX1080 and X34 how to not live happily haha.

That's really strange. It's like a 1% drop in standby in less than 5 minutes? Mine doesn't drop that much and it's a regular S8 and not even an S8+.

but during that time... i already felt note 2 note 3 is very good already... in fact better than the iphones thousand miles in term of flexibility of usage and the pricing... and the battery is quite impressive for a smart phone for that time....

hello learn to understand your device first before assuming. Go check is your email set auto sync? if yes what the interval? What your brightness setting? auto manual? usually manual will give you a more constant battery life because the sensor dont keep changing based on environment lighting. Any running apps in the background?

You want an even longer battery life switch to power saving mode..

The problem is never android is you. If you understand lithum ion battery people dont use 100% to 0% they charge when a charger is available it prolong the battery further.

Because u are an android fanboy. But honestly speaking, the android ecosystem was really weak then. We had to root our phones, install custom roms and stuff. With android nowadays, I dont even bother. I have even forgot how to root my phone already.

Are they mad? For f@cks would I wanna trade my S8+ with an Iphone 7 + and with top up of Rm 2.5k somemore?

it depends as i said its not android problem. User problem if i use hotspot on the battery drain even faster.

the root and custom roms are real! haha .those were the days. i never thought of rooting s8.

in a way the touch wiz back then reli still need improvement... the good thing of note series over the iphone during that time is the battery capacity and s-pen... haha... rooting a phone is a must during that time just like most iphone users jailbreak their iphones... haha... but then seems like alot of the android phones going back to as close as the basic android version already.... which is a good thing nowadays...
