seems like S8/+ has quite a few hardware issues, dont know its because of the unoptimized software between the OS and apps or memang hardware problem..

These are the prevalent issues so far (can be seen on reddit and xda of many users complaining about it):
1) S8/+ glass (front and back) very easy to pick up scratches compared to previous generations.
2) S8/+ fingerprint sensor also gets scratched easily (not glass)
3) S8/+ red-tint displays
4) S8/+ camera's OIS gets stuck quite often, have to shake the phone quite roughly in order to "unstuck" it.
5) S8/+ LED dying out of a sudden issue
6) S8/+ random sounds cuts from the speakers
7) S8/+ randomly rebooting.
8) S8/+ random vibrations after unlocking the phone via hard-pressing home button. (like it doesnt register immediately when you're pressing the home button to unlock, so the vibration comes later after u unlock the phone and touch anywhere on the screen)

then there's a plethora of software bugs between the OS and certain apps.
1) edge lighting not working with certain apps
2) facebook zooming in/out the wallpaper when exit the app
3) whatsapp LED notifications not working sometimes
4) whatsapp images received when open it, its zoomed a little.

can add 1 more problem? my phone sometimes can't pull down the quick setting on top of the screen after unlock (no respond when swiping down).. need to turn off and on back the screen to fix..

just sold off s8+
for me the advantage of s8+ is only camera and display.

for user friendly, i give 6/10.
difficult for fingerprint sensor.
phone are too long.
not smooth overthought using latest hardware.

using back mate 9 and looking forward for note 8.

Good for you. I also decided to stick with current phone.

My entire sealed pre-bundle set still with me... couldn't find the right buyer willing to COD in Melaka or willing to have it shipped to them. 

its not android problem for battery drain, its software optimization by brand (samsung,sony etc.)

for my mate 9 phone, SOT 6-8 hours is achievable for me.
for my business phone, xioami redmi note 4 and 4x, SOT for 7-8 is achievable for me.

using samsung SOT 3-4 hours only achievable for me.

hi all.. just got my phone yesterday night.. upgrading from 3 y.o S5.. sorry for the noob question, but where can i view the battery usage.. i've tried to look for it under settings.. but the one under device maintenance doesnt show anything about the usage at all..

need to add one more to the ignore list?

Just bought another set for my dad at 11street, sell by Tesco, S8 is RM2,858, but no S8+

true, for some people can only accept benzi/bm
others can drive saga/kancil happily.

so the marks they get from dxomark is not really accurate for daily usage?    so far i see mate 9's EMUI Machine Learning Algorithm seems to be fulfilling their promises... gaming for few months already.... performance and battery standby still going strong....

You can find more on this on Android Authority. There are certain aspect that gotten worse but there are improvements too. Depends on what you are looking for.

I dont trust review sites as much as you guys. Take it with a pinch of salt when it comes to something subjective like image quality or sound quality etc. The only thing that you can trust is benchmarks and certain technical things.

camera getting worst eh?  but for me i feel its good enough for me, maybe i have lesser expectation?
