i noticed only kawasaki is quite aggressive with their marketing, holding bike test sessions and roadshows.

Yah, I've been to 3 Kawa test ride already. Tempted to get Z650 but I don't ride fast-fast anymore (not that young anymore). Leisure ride would suits me more - Vulcan S (too heavy and big) or Rebel 500 (just nice, sits on it at Arts of Speed ) are the options .

As for Honda, I've been trying to get a test ride for Rebel 500 for ages. Had been calling Welly Subang many times. The bike still not ready for test ride. Yet Honda brag in their FB that it's available for test ride from 1st Sept Going to pay cash also they don't want

yes kawa is best in terms of these.. now their 4th test ride session in klang valley @ kawa gt world moto sim. last week at car park some stadium in selayang, tis week @ johor oso..

yama no nid all these.. their kapcai ppl flocking to buy.. lol.. now latest trend is restored rxz.. can fetch rm40k ?... lol.. pity d tzm kenot do that..

get the versys x250 for occasional offroading while at kampung hehe

welly subang oredi got many rebel500, ppl oredi bought, n honda msia still talking bout test ride since august.. useless..

Anyone have any opinion/experience on riding honda NM4? I know that cornering with this type is a bit tricky.

Quite rare to find in Malaysia.. most if not All are recond unit.... big fat 200mm tyre behind wheel can cost you a bomb to replace...

Cornering.. from the riding posture, treated it like other cruisers.. laid back leg front.. and low ground clearance.. you have to hold the line and not bend so much during corner.. (ride the torque wave)

However the engine same like the NC750 family .. quite lasak.. just dont expect to be 200 km/h run on highway..

Hmm. I'll pass that bike. I like low cornering too much to consider cruiserlike bike.

Sure welly subang have the test unit? I've been calling them for ages... they said it's not there yet (last whatsapp communication 7-8 days ago)

Was at welly Sg. Buloh one or two month back .. when I want to test ride MT-09 Tracer.. they took out the display bike and turned the key .. ask me to take for a spin..

Perhaps you should go there and check.. if they allow..

Welly Subang has it before, but when I contact them, the bike was not there anymore. They said it will come back. That was 7-8 days ago.

Their FB page (Welly Team Cycle Subang) show many Rebels on display as at 21 Sept. U may wanna go check it out.

i duno, honda chicken never gave any concrete answer to fb when ppl ask bout test bike,

n " sam welly" also never post any test ride or test bike on fb..

maybe they dont want many ppl to go there joyride, and honda oso never sanction any official test ride,

jz pass the buck to the dealer.. dealer oso don wana do many " no biz " work...

maybe if u like sifoo otai ajaibman go there ask they will let u test ride...

i think if just minnow looking fler.. .. go there ask they will say don have test bike ler.. ..

I already sat on Rebel at Art of Speed, I know how it looks like, etc. Just want to test ride. They (Honda representative) told me it will be available for test ride at selected dealer (confirmed by Welly boss). The thing is, the test bike is not available yet... Display bike already there. I'm not going to pay RM32k++ for a bike that I don't like to ride... huhu


The test ride poster IS at Welly Subang. It's even on Honda official FB. It says test ride bike available from Sept 17 to Nov 17 Just the test bike is not available, as of 7-8 days ago.

like i said, the story of test bike not available, might be jz a story cooked up by dealer..
oni one test bike for whole of msia.. honda..

How much downpayment you guys usually put for big bike? And from which bank u guys usually apply loan?

Usually starting from 20 to 30 % from Banks....
If from Finance company can go from 0% however, the interest rate will kill you (At the end you pay either double or triple of your bike price)

cash is king. as with any loan, the more downpayment, the better.

nowadays got many finance institutions / tools to help apply for loan, but later cannot maintain monthly & maintenance.

that's why now got so many sambung bayar bikes, which is actually illegal.
