Been seeing quite a few Monster 795s for sale on Mudah/Carousell for around RM25-30k. I think quite a few of them are also past the big desmo service mileage too (so probably not being sold to skip on that). Is there some kind of catch or do these bikes really depreciate that much?

Also, are Brembo brake thefts still pretty common? Just saw a vid that was posted by motovlogger Nasir Haris last October detailing the theft of his Monster's entire front brake system which would cost something like RM 7k to replace puke.gif I'm fine with the Monster's regular servicing costs but an unexpected 7k cost is one helluva punch in the gut.

Been having a bit of a quarter-life crisis lately and was considering getting a Monster 795 due to the availability of secondhand bikes, but the aforementioned concerns are mainly what's stopping me.

ori... ok.. if you can deal with the pomen, n if u can handle it, tht is buying your own parts, first pomen hv to tell u which part you need. if u r able to get that done.
i can giv you a contact tht will get u genuine susuki parts frm hq in prai. if the parts is still available. n u will get to know the real price.

or u can get 3rd party parts. go to nks in sentul, or honlid in oug.

or u can get used orimotor parts frm fb group..

Tonight I jatobodo when one stuupiak wimin decided that it is ok to jump cue on a slow moving traffic an right into my opposite direction. So I terkejut but manage to stop but unable to hold my bike as it was leaning beyond my salvation. Some dent on the engine guard and the rest is ok.

Wanted to scold her but the situation is not permitted. It is at my taman so I don't want to be famous for no reason. Now at home the anger is creeping up so I rant here. The last time jatobodo was like 5 years ago and boy oh boy, the bike seems heavier over time.

Sekian my rant

Lived in a condo... back in 2016.. always parked next to a Duc street fighter 1098.. one night.. someone stole the caliper and master pump of the Ducati, not only that the theft also broke into my Harley side-pannier compartment by breaking the locking key...

Damage.. 180 USD with almost 1 month of waiting since the replacement key locking mechanism need to come from Milwaukee Murica and more than 12k MYR for the Ducati brake system...

Now, due to the high profile theft case...

1. My condo installed CCTV to cover the motorcycle park.
2. Order a special nut and bolt for my current bike caliper and master pump cylinder.

lesson learned,

True story...

Yes and no, drop the GS and manage to lift halfway before one good samaritan lending his hand. Need to recreate the event and see if I managed to lift alone.
