Walk in to a umobile store and port in your mum's existing number from another carrier ( if existing prepaid, all credit will be forfeited, if postpaid, you'll need to settle all amount and make sure to not have contract) you also may need to reply to the message about the port in.

I realized only Umobile has this inconvenient SOP. Digi, Hotlink, Xpax all can do online, register there and then and they will deliver the sim to your doorstep you foc.

I PMed Umobile's FB they said need to buy a new simpack to be able to switch over and keep the same number. Like wth? user posted image

U Mobile's online process serves to reduce fraud. As an alternative, you can always walk into U Mobile centre and collect a new sim for free.

That's why always needed to have back up line..
U really cannot dependent on U mobile.. Their service really not reliable... Die if only have 1 line..

Give so generous data, no use also.. If congested & no connection...

So true, need a backup line when using umobile.

Currently i'm happy with Umobile P48 (Main) + Hotlink Fast EM/EC (Backup).

then you know its good in your place..
my mistake..

the reason why I suggest test first because many didn't use first.. Port in, then only realized the line sucks big time..

"some".... for those area umobile ok, good for you. By looking at their FB page, flooded by bad comment mainly about network, no 4g, I'm pretty sure it is otherwise. Hence, bad network>good network, with bad customer service, all must done at centre except only for plan upgrade, can be done by phone call. I think many place dont have U mobile centre.

if outside Klang Valley then I can understand there wont be much Umobile centre. I personally find it 3G is quite good already le~ I only started using 4G this year, past 3 years i'm using 3G only and I had actually turned off 4G purposely where I tot it actually drain battery faster. But with latest technology then it shouldn't be the problem. So I find 3G speed quite ok unless you are going to stream 4K videos. I only find 4G useful when you require to send and download large files, and stream videos and music. Otherwise 3G quite sufficient.

For prepaid, App Onz is only offered to Unlimited Power plan users. If you are using Power or 2x plan, you won't get it.

any expectation higher than this would suffer cry.gif

lately 4g is so unstable at some areas, not recommended to use at all, and i found that U mobile LTE spectrum 1800 is on, which my 4G mifi without 2600 getting 4g LTE now, so Iphone 5/5s user may try to connect U Mobile 4g now
