the banks always look up your other commitments, i.e. loans repayments , to see your payment behaviour in order to judge your reliability to qualify for credit card.

If you don't have commitment, probably can try with the easiest card with the least income requirement, then build your credit history from there.
but no harm trying with gold card, too.

I see. So if compare to applying over the desk, will it be easier to approve?

Actually what supporting documents really need? I mean as from the website, they need Copy of NRIC, Latest 3 months' salary slips, Latest 6 months' savings account activity/current account statements but when I upload documents the note there mention need only latest one month salary slips and copy of NRIC. Will it be the reason they reject me because of insufficient document given?

But I also learned from IMoney that Maybank has one of the toughest (and even lowest) CC approval.... this is why they are not promoting them anymore now. Is that true?

if you have a good payment record and CCRIS rating is good, every bank welcomes you.

no difference over the desk or online, cause in the end, the applications reached the same credit card review dept for approval.

No one would know what is the exact reason(s) for the rejection. I also applied online with just IC copy and 1 month salary slip and they approved, probably because I've already have another card with them before.

If you are really really really serious about getting their cards, can approach their branch and pledge FD to be locked in for the equivalent amount of Credit Limit of the card. That's a good chance to get the card.

It's not a chance.

It's a surety unless the person got blacklisted by banks before.

You need to pay for the report.

The score comes with the report.

I owe the bank 1 million for 1 property.

And I don't even have rental income.

So don't worry la, just submit. All this ccris / ctos score is just a number.
