QUOTE(shyghost @ Apr 18 2017, 10:04 AM) The only difference between Gold and Platinum is Platinum have the Starwood dining offers and a higher CL. Other than that is all the same. Can anyone confirm the fact above or add up anything I miss? and yes I'm thinking of changing my Gold to Plat. actually the CL still depend on your income and bank's assessment. And based on the website, Starwood hotel dining seems applicable to both m2c amex plat and gold. HereAnyhow, there's also agoda discount, which is higher for Plat Cards.

QUOTE(kenlui @ Apr 18 2017, 08:29 AM) QUOTE(LostAndFound @ Apr 18 2017, 09:43 AM) Not necessarily. If you have a bill of RM1k and paid less than that (let's say RM500), it will still show RM0 on minimum payment. And you will be charged interest. QUOTE(kenlui @ Apr 18 2017, 10:10 AM) Oh yeah u're right but I usually pay my monthly statement in full, so when the minimum payment shows 0 it is 0 for my case. Not applicable for thos who dont settle their monthly bill in full. QUOTE(alextan99 @ Apr 18 2017, 10:24 AM) Easiest is to pay statement balance in full. I like to time my spending as I will spend on the card that the statement comes a bit later to earn the full 20 days interest free yes i paid exactly my statement amount only. don't want to clear the rest of the debts lol. ok i should be fine then.

Getting Started

From all the post I've read here about Gold and Plat... It seems that there no difference at all! There is no really good points to upgrade to Plat.
Having Plat wording on the CC does not comes with 'ummpphh' feeling knowing no extra usable benefit.
I night rethink this idea of upgrading. Thank you all for the input.

I called before and according to them, 50% is only applicable for super premium cards. Premium cards are only entitled for 20%. But I didn't get to ask them what card is under super premium and what card is under premium.

I have mentioned few times on this, even on this thread that Plat has a dedicated hotline shared with VS. Can skip all the queues from calling general line since Gold is using that no. This part itself is worth the upgrade, at least in my opinion.

At least which number to call is your options, you can choose.

+1000 The almost instant CS hotline is a huge plus IMO. Don't have to go through those long annoying button mashing choosing options just to talk to a CS officer at the end...

Yes you can. Anyway, MasterCard has no PayWave. Regardless it is quite pathetic besides 1xTP for most of the categories.

Didn't even notice it supposed to be MasterCard after using it for so many years... I guess u need to request it like their debit cards, by default should be Visa if customer does not request for MasterCard.
