so far i've only seen a person reported that SE acknowledged the problem and changed his CMOS sensor. but ofcourse, that's not in malaysia.

regarding the 98%, it is a bug and fixed in the R6F41 firmware release

you need to press C everytime you connect
pressing the C button is somehow like allowing the PC to access the ROM portion of the phone.
and XS++ need this connection as it is messing around with your codes stored inside the ROM

For those who are keen to read more about this Green Tint problem, you can go to Google Search and type "SE P1i green tint"....and you will see a forum at www.esato.com that talks a lot about this problem with the P1i....

The forumers actually take photos with their P1i and post it there.....check it out if you are keen...

This is one of the issue that is holding me back from buying the P1i.....other than the Wifi(without 'g'), no Flash support and uncertainty of the "user-friendliness" of the rocker Qwerty keypad...

yeah, that's R6E30
an update to R6F41 would solve the 98% fully charged issue
it's just a numbering anyway, i think the battery does fully charged even though it's showing 98%

haha, okie... anyway R6F41 released d? cause i try to update my firmware just now, but i state that i got the latest update already

it was released for a few CDA for time being.
what CDA you having?
if you're keen on getting R6F41 you can read few pages back regarding how to change ur CDA to GW and get the latest firmware straight away

Thanks Fx, I managed to updated and changed my cda.
However:-

1) It doesn't support chinese character
2) my preinstalled disctionary chinese to english (vise versa) is gone.

What should i do now?

1)GW firmware doesn't shipped witf chinese input by default.
however, the font installing for viewing trick still applies

2) pre-installed software only comes with their assigned CDA. for example european get their free GPS software while we don't and GW firmware only has the main application. i assume yours should be singapore /95 CDA therefore you get the dictionary pre-installed and now it is gone since it is GW flashed

how to install the viewing trick?

my P1i hving problem ..... eventhough im not touching the screen but it the button MORE gets activated u know jus press abit at the P1i marker on the phone front body n its get ON n get hanged sometimes !

Hello all.

Did anyone encounter his/her P1i sms/mms alert suddenly gone? It happen once to my phone and was fixed after restarting the phone.

Another thing, there is one time I cant pushed the "send" and "more" button during sending a sms. Haiyah

Furthermore the phone seems to lag a bit. Really hope a new firmware release to my phone's region asap.

you have to sign it yourself, a cert for a particular IMEI will only work for that IMEI.
