Dear all P1i user...

just bought this phone a 2 days ago and the first time of using this kind of phone as well....all and all, everything is good so far and works find. Except no sound notification on receiving file via bluetooth and it seem I could not enter url address in the internet browser in potrait mode...weird

Havent install any 3rd party software yet, thinking to install the SMART Player, Fring and that Swiss thing...

Just playing around wif my phone...tons tons of stuff to play around as this is my first time owning Phone+PDA....
it is quite weird as I could not set my wallpaper to none...
everytime when I set the wallpaper setting to <none> it goes back to <default>.
It driving me crazy....anybody has this issue before?

anyway here is my P1i, trying to find a blue colour theme on the net rite now and anybody knows how to change the font? any help would be appreciated...

I just call SE Call Center:

I ask them regarding the bluetooth thingy. Why there isn't any notification upon receiving file thru Bluetooth?

He replied me: Normally for PDA phone they usually dont have any notification at all for completing file transfer via bluetooth.

Is this REALLY true? Never own a PDA phone before so I cant complain more. HaHaHa

Just put new wall paper and replacing the icon. Using default theme. That is all. BTW I am still customizing the phone. The icon will remain the same with the changing of theme.

Anybody knows how to use the front camera to snap picture? Couldnt seems to find it. Found nothing in the manual regarding this matter as well.

push button 0 in camera mode to see shortcuts..
I believe 3 zoom out and 6 for zoom in.

Freeware would be welcome even the pay one should be ok.

Googling the whole night but could not find any software to do this.

Good information dude. Will try to update my P1i wif the first method as I am afraid to void the warranty. Any news on the software in using the front camera?

btw I'm going to spore this week to buy the martin field screen protector and some other stuff for the handphone. Anybody want anything for their handphone? thinking to buy from doml.

Dear all fellow P1i user,

Could anyone teach me how to play the music on my background (open the mp3 wif music viewer, but when I change other application wif task manager, the music automatically turned off). Do I hav to install another application to perform such task or the existing one would suffice? Any good phone freeware to play multimedia?

Scratches???so far no scratches at all on my phone. I've been using the supplied pouch ever since I bought the phone.

Never experience this kind of problem either. My pouch fit nicely wif the phone, no need to spread what so ever.
But I cant understand why SE claims that the original set did not comes along wif pouch cause mine was bought at SE shop. Stupid SE.

I tried your suggestion to press back button on the phone side a few second during mp3 playback with music viewer but the music automatically stop and displaying desktop. Any other suggestion?

yup....I pressed and hold the back button on the phone left side but it went straight to desktop and ended up my music.

BTW there is no minimize button if I pressed more in the music viewer...
it has

manage
---> Set as ringtone
---> Set as contact ringtone
---> Set as alarm sound

Send as ( click a screen popup as MMS, Bluetooth and IR )

Setting
---> Transfer sound
---> Equalizer

Help

Thanks for all the help...but unfortunately there is no music player in my phone since the begining...will download sumething from the internet thou

Youtube huh??interesting....tried it once but the picture always stuck, kind of watching slide show. And if I tried to push <more> button the phone would temporary hang, no restart require thou. Anyway will try d@odao suggestion to tweak the router a little bit.

All I have in Main Menu --> Entertainment are Camera, Web, More Applications, RSS Feeds, Play Now and Picture Gallery....No Music Player dude...Will call SE later on Friday....Or any Freeware out there to play music??

Dude, P1i is and probably will always way way way much better than N73....I am a N73ME user myself. N73 is much more slower than P1i especially when ur memory card is full of stuffs. N73 keypad is small to my fingers, accidentally push send button during typing a sms too many times. and yeah p1i keypad is small as well but at least you got 3 choices. IMHO there are still minus point to N73 in comparing to P1i but let it be at the moment ... Hehehehe ....

I ald gave my N73ME to my sisters.

Pic...Later.... I went to doml office and bought the item there, I could try all P1i's acc out there. I would say best one is the PDair leather side flip one, but I hav to satisfy with this one as that one was not available. You just hav to stretch a bit to button the case but I can manage that. About the Martin Screen Overlay protector, it works very2 well compare to my last chapalang screen protector. The touch screen work flawlessly wif the screen protector. The response is way much better than the last one. A very good screen protector except for the camera screen, the size is not fully fit to the camera lens. But I think you all ald knew that.

The camera lenses protector just do not fit perfectly around the edge of the lenses a part from that no complaint at all....worth your money

ha ha ha.....Figured ald la the multimedia and entertainment, renamed it back. I'm going to remove the lens protector as well. DOML applied it for me without my knowledge.

Hi...Havent been here for quite sometime now...

hahaha...same like mine, I lost a brand new unactivated simcard because of this phone. The simcard seems stuck, I pull it too hard until the card fly down into my gear/handbrake cover in the car, and lost without a trace....hav to pay RM25 to maxis to replace the simcard. Very unfortunate event.

hahahaha...I got a problem last time wif music player.

is it just me or anybody else have these kind of problems:

When I switch off or changing theme the date format will revert to YY/MM/DD and time format will revert from 24hrs to 12hrs?

When installing swiss manager pro there is annoying icon when I am in the main menu and in the others menu apart from standby/desktop even after I disable it in the software (swiss manager)...

When I ended up a call there is still blank dialog box on the desktop and hav to press back button or backspace to go to standby/desktop

When I press a speed dial number (ie: no 2 for xxx person) there isnt any xxx person name displayed in the dial box apart from the picture.

Sometimes the phone automatically locked by itself but sometime dont. (the phone's lock was set as auto)

other than that the phone is working superb...
