I just want to share my recruitment process experience.
Apply DiscoverPETRONAS: early April 2013
Phone interview: end of June 2013
Declaration form: 11 July 2013
Structured interview: 29 July 2013
Result/contacted by HR: 30 July 2013 (the next day of SI)
Medical checkup:15 August 2013
Offer letter: 20 August 2013
Report duty/PIPE: 2 September 2013

I'm grateful that my recruitment process didn't took so long. The most important thing is be patient and keep up to date with the job hunter. And don't forget to pray a lot! InsyaAllah everything will be good =)

Well its normal for candidates to fail at any stage-gate because it is part of the interview process.I need to be honest with u that ure still in a very initial stage and it will take a very long time prior receiving the offer letter.Nevertheless , you need to be positive because u are still under the recruitment process.Good luck mate!
*
Well, TQ for the useful info. Wish me best of luck!

I think most ppl here got their result latest 1 month after SI. During SI just dont 'gelabah' and be confident haha. After you pass your SI just pray that your file is handled efficiently, Petronas filing system is horrible i heard lol, but thats expected coz its such a huge company. You a fresh grad?
*
No, i'm not a fresh grad, i have 4-5 years exp in HR area

Im a fresh graduate.. I went to Petronas booth during career fair and the HR people said that the selection of candidates will be based on CGPA (result oriented).. This is the 1st requirement that you should fulfill in order to be short listed.. But im sure this is only applied for fresh grads.. For experiance worker, im sure ur experiance is more valuable =) thats why u will hv TA..

At first, you need to know what position that you are in. Offshore will have offshore allowance, traveling will have the meal allowance, working in east malaysia will have the special allowance and etc. Hope it clears the confusion that you have.

I know for a fact that if you miss the cut-off date even for 1 day (for promotion, merit, bonus or what not), PETRONAS HR will really follow the rule to the letter in not giving you those things ....

Knowledge is power and Petronas HR likes their power and therefore they keep all the necessary policies etc close to their chests. I had an executive handbook before which probably have not been updated for ages. I think I wrote somewhere my current company Industrial Relations Manual which is 17 chapters long with 7 appendixes and we have 7 different payrolls. I love it because it's all transparent and if you have any questions with regards to anything (your entitlement etc etc), you just send a query to personnel and they will respond with the necessary clarifications. And the IR Manual is updated regularly (at the minimum every quarter) and any changes to policies will be updated in the IR Manual as well. They will even inform you which paragraph, in which chapter changes have been made. They put the IR Manual on the intranet so you can always download the PDF version and read it at your leisure

Think PETRONAS HR will do that ??? ....

Bro azraeil,i see that you're well versed in oil & gas company especially petronas.I really want join oil & gas industries but from what i've observe, they seldom hire someone with intermediate experience (<1 years) or freshie . Any advice?

Hello future colleague. I should have wrote PETRONAS Cargali, SBO, Kota Kinabalu. I'll be reporting for duty at the KK office on 17/9 and looking for anyone from the Peninsular with the same placement.
