I went to their SI and have received the job offer. My advice is think fast for answers and be honest about yourself. And read everything shared in this thread; it's very helpful and useful smile.gif

Hi,

I found that this forum very useful for PETRONAS people. Ive been reading through this forum from the start of my recruitment process up until now hehe.. Thank you so much to all the Seniors. Really appreciate it. If not i might be wondering around thinking on how to pass the interview hehe.

I just want to share my recruitment process experience.
Apply DiscoverPETRONAS: early April 2013
Phone interview: end of June 2013
Declaration form: 11 July 2013
Structured interview: 29 July 2013
Result/contacted by HR: 30 July 2013 (the next day of SI)
Medical checkup:15 August 2013
Offer letter: 20 August 2013
Report duty/PIPE: 2 September 2013

I'm grateful that my recruitment process didn't took so long. The most important thing is be patient and keep up to date with the job hunter. And don't forget to pray a lot! InsyaAllah everything will be good =)

I'm going to start my new journey at PETRONAS very2 soon. Hopefully this is the best for me.

Are you a fresh graduate or experience worker? for me,getting a phone call for a structured interview is mostly depend on luck since the number of applicant is quite a lot.

I know for a fact that if you miss the cut-off date even for 1 day (for promotion, merit, bonus or what not), PETRONAS HR will really follow the rule to the letter in not giving you those things ....

Knowledge is power and Petronas HR likes their power and therefore they keep all the necessary policies etc close to their chests. I had an executive handbook before which probably have not been updated for ages. I think I wrote somewhere my current company Industrial Relations Manual which is 17 chapters long with 7 appendixes and we have 7 different payrolls. I love it because it's all transparent and if you have any questions with regards to anything (your entitlement etc etc), you just send a query to personnel and they will respond with the necessary clarifications. And the IR Manual is updated regularly (at the minimum every quarter) and any changes to policies will be updated in the IR Manual as well. They will even inform you which paragraph, in which chapter changes have been made. They put the IR Manual on the intranet so you can always download the PDF version and read it at your leisure

Think PETRONAS HR will do that ??? ....

on 27th sep,i have attended the structured interview for petronas carigali at pacific regency. they told the result at the end of the SI. luckily i passed the interview. alhamdulillah. didn't expect the result as im not perform well in case study and role play in the morning. my graduation day just a few days before the interview.

actually i send my resume and cover letter to HR on august..and at the end of august they call me for chit chat.a few weeks later, they called me to attend SI and passed the interview. lucky me to get that fast. im not petronas scholar.

seriously??! did you apply through discover or you have someone in petronas to revert your resume? roughly, how long is the process from application to SI and result, is it 2 o 3 months?
