Dear owners of Bezza Advance.
I would want to know how the Idle Start Stop works. AFAIK, the engine to a stop when the car comes to complete stop. Engine will continue to stop as long as your leg is pressed on the brake. When you release the brake or press on the accelerator, the engine will start. That is my understanding. However when I test drive the Bezza last week, when the car comes to complete stop, the engine stops. However, after the counter counts to 10 second, the engine restarts without me releasing the brake or step on the accelerator. Is this how it works in Bezza?

Mine only take roughly only 2 seconds to start. Eco Idle is widely use in Japan and Europe so i think the technology is there already just malaysian haven't useded to it. The car starter and battery for advanced are different from other model such as premium x. They are more durable and much expensive. Also if you engaged reverse the engine should restart. Below are the conditions that eco idle will be cancle.
1. Once foot fully release from the break pedal
2. Cabin temperature too hot
3. Battery charge level low
4. When you move your car steering
5. When you are not in D or N when eco idle in works. So if u change to P or R it will turn on your engine
6. Eco idle button being press (off)

Ya why does it take 10 seconds for your eco idle to restart the engine. As a few have posted, it should only take 1-2 seconds, quite unnoticeable.
Personally i reverse park most of the time. So to prevent my eco idle from kicking in when I stop to change from D to R, i quickly push the gear into N before I come to a complete stop. That way eco idle doesn't kick in, and from there I just shift from N to R once the car stop moving forward.
Also just to add, yes there is a switch to disable eco idle, but do note that it auto turns on anyway every time you start the car. So as far as I know there is no way to permanently disable it. You will have to press the switch to off it everytime you start your car.
That said, I do think that VSC and traction control, as safety features, definitely make the advance variant the better choice. I mean seriously your safety and that of your family's are at stake.
