you either need to forward all UDP ports on ur network switch to your nintendo switch
OR
set your switch as DMZ

but those two official advise is crappy, which is why i stick to tethering my mobile connection

That last point... Thank You Nintendo. I use a multi-HDMI switch and I can't count how many times while playing Horizon Zero Dawn that the switch triggers an input change.

that's because TM has started to assign private IP to customers (instead of the global IP previously). this started a couple years back.

DMZ, port forwarding will NOT work. only way is to not use streamyx or if you could somehow get them to revert back to assign global IP for you.

P/S: go to your streamyx modem/router admin page to see the WAN IP. chances are it starts with 10.x.x.x

Yeah, because catering to the hardcore few generates so much sale for them, eh? They realized that they cant survive on the meager remainders of 3DS players and needed a slice of that sweet AAA crowd demographics. If doing so keeps MH alive for the "supposed" hardcore crowd to have their next numeric iteration of "hardcore" MH on Nintendo's portables because the "dumbed down" version of the game sales will keep the franchise afloat, are the "hardcores" complaining now?

It's a gamble. A gamble because Capcom is in deep financial shit after several duds of their releases. The new Dead Rising failed to garner critical mindshare, SFV *raucuos laughter*, ....and even RE7 failed to meet their lofty 10 million units sale target (which by the way, is a sign of a company in deep financial shit btw, when they expect a sale that high, even HZD cant even manage). If Capcom is rolling in money right now, they'd be more than happy just catering to the portable few instead of having to branch out to the home crowd. They've done that with previous MH iterations anyway.
