that's because TM has started to assign private IP to customers (instead of the global IP previously). this started a couple years back.

DMZ, port forwarding will NOT work. only way is to not use streamyx or if you could somehow get them to revert back to assign global IP for you.

P/S: go to your streamyx modem/router admin page to see the WAN IP. chances are it starts with 10.x.x.x

Guys, need advise, why Maxis 4G can play Mario Kart 8, Streamyx 4MB unable to play with error "The other console is not responding, please try again later"?

Please see attachment:

i'm guessing it's the console and login (nintendo acct id) combo that is banned.

sort of like digital copies which you have bought on other acct but you somehow got it to work with non-activated machine.

QUOTE(MarioKart @ Jun 26 2018, 11:34 AM)
But if pirate dumped the game, sell you their copy of the ori, you wont kena? How does Nintendo knows your copy is the ori and not the pirated since the pirated has the same key??

The balance funds are lost once you switch the region option in your single account. I believe the original reply was referring to Gold Coin points collection purpose.

If your credit card can work with different regions then I guess it’s alright though. Either that or use up as much funds before switching if you are using prepaid cards.

QUOTE(underscore_lee @ Jul 25 2018, 12:49 AM)
Ah, make sense. That way I can just use the same eshop credit stored in my US account - got it! Thanks sifu  thumbup.gif

When using only 1 account and just switching the region option:-

If using credit card... pretty much no issue as long the credit card is accepted in each region’s eshop.

If using prepaid to load points into account... it will be zero-ed each time u make a switch. Eg.
- first in US you loaded usd50 and used up usd30 .. the balance of usd20 will be lost once u switch region

The reason others use multiple account is they can store the value separately. But then the gold points will also be separate

QUOTE(underscore_lee @ Jul 25 2018, 10:48 PM)
hmm. sorry im a bit blurry and noob on this. So say if i buy an eshop prepaid card with 50 USD for US region, i can only use the credit for US region games only? Then if Japan region got sales, I can switch region but I can't use the 50 USD credit - means gotta top up with Japan eshop yen or use credit card. Correct?

According to the internetz, as long the region eshop you switch to uses same currency the gold points will show and can be utilized in other similar currency shop

But if say USD eshop changed to Yen eshop then at best I think it’ll accumulate the point separately if not completely gone like the balance.

QUOTE(sheushen @ Jul 26 2018, 09:25 PM)
If using 1 account but change region will the gold point be brought over?

the console itself is the same across all SKUs except for joycon color.

there’s also a limited number of bundle editions released so far (eg Mario Odyssey edition) which comes with the game

Sifu,
Is there any different of model for Switch, which model we need to go for ?

For “Asia” set (official distributor warranty) I would guess between RM1100-1200. This range may be machine only or sometimes include items like screen protector.

there are also sellers offering slightly lower prices at the expense of the "official warranty" (either no warranty or seller's own warranty). these are likely units designated for other regions eg. Japan, HK, US, etc. hardware wise no difference though as mentioned before ... just different box/labeling and the warranty condition.

Have no idea about online shopping platform deals as I’ve never used them.

QUOTE(officeBoy @ Aug 3 2018, 09:59 PM)
Thanks YangKuo, Do you have visibility on best price for Switch so far ?

by frame rate do you mean slowdown when in battle with lots of enemies and effects on at the same time?

I was anticipating such after the dev reported it on twitter but so far I only encountered 1 or 2 skipped frame when traversing the area (with no enemy or fighting ... just jumping). seems more like slightly cannot load the next section in time kinda effect

nothing major as far as actual gaming experience so far

QUOTE(Daenthylin @ Aug 18 2018, 10:25 AM)
Just bought Dead Cells for the Switch yesterday.
Suffering from some frame rate issues, but the devs are already working on the fixes.
Really good game nonetheless!

actually i was quite impressed how well it plays (after a few rounds of getting used to the nuances) in 2 hands separated joycon mode. very doable even hard difficulty.

P/S: not so sure how many can play well using that mode in highest difficulty (if there's one). i'm not a hardcore fan of this game andi don't own the game. just casually played on a friend's Switch.

QUOTE(MarioKart @ Aug 20 2018, 10:04 AM)
Can play with drum? If no drum, this game kinda pointless.

the game in the bundle seems to be provided only as a [download code] (not physical cart with box) ... so you may have to at least set your Nintendo account to UK for once (or any valid European region with eshop permitting you to download the game (or DLC if any in the future)

i'm of course assuming you'll want to set the account to some other region eg. US

P/S: as of latest system updates ... you cannot unlink the nintendo account from a user id of console. you can still switch region of the acct. or create a new user and use separate nintendo acct.

QUOTE(Eyern @ Dec 26 2018, 11:51 PM)
Hi. Need some opinions. I'm interested to get the Nintendo Switch Diablo 3 Bundle from Global Games - PlayZone Enterprise and already ask the seller it's an European set.

How about the compatibility in terms of online store, region, voltage etc. This is my first time to buy Nintendo Switch so I'm not sure whether to buy it or not.

for an official maxsoft set without any game or accessory eg screen protector that looks like a pretty normal price. Don’t know why the fuss but I guess the typical T&C is walk-in only, cash only, first come first serve, time limited offer eg. xmas ...

P/S: to answer your earlier question about Diablo 3 on Switch - you need an internet connection to create/start seasonal character (but there after can be offline although you cannot get access to leaderboard if offline). you can play offline solo, coop if using non-seasonal character

QUOTE(andise @ Jan 2 2019, 04:19 PM)
Anyone know T&C of M4G nintendo switch promotion ? they offer RM 1199 but they don't tell what is their T&C

I answered that (see bold text below in reference to previous post)

Non seasonal character - OFFLINE solo and coop possible
Seasonal character - must be online when creating and starting game (don’t need online Nintendo sub .. just internet connection to Diablo server). Can be offline while playing but lose access to leaderboard or even seasonal progress if u close the software before u get to update the progress when u get connection again

You need online sub if you want to play online coop

QUOTE(andise @ Jan 4 2019, 10:11 AM)
What i mean is, Am i need to subscribe Nintendo online service?

maybe tell us why you are even considering buying one ...

this is a Nintendo forum and I’m not sure if you’ll want to just take a fan’s opinion that it is a great buy or a soothsayer/hater/troll telling you otherwise.

as a general answer ... buy when you have game(s) you must play on the platform and/or you can afford it without qualms

actually the use of a travel adapter in this case is only needed bcos of the different pin config of the JP AC adapter vs other countries (that you plan to use the console at)

The ac adapter spec is as follows:-
入力 AC 100V-240V 50/60Hz 1A
出力 DC 5.0V 1.5A/15.0V 2.6A
サイズ 幅65.8mm×高さ50.8mm×厚さ34.6mm
コードの長さ 約1.5m

The input is suitable for all countries...

Not sure what is the spec of iPad charger you’re referring to but the Apple 10W and 12W charger works good enough. The console takes 10W (5V 2.0A) from those 2 chargers. Not the fastest available but works. Caution: use a good certified usb cable eg. Apple’s

For powering the dock definitely recommend stick to the original ac adapter.

Hi necromancer ,
Sorry to trouble you again . If I were to charge the Japan Nintendo switch console direct using usb-c cable is it ok to charge using let’s say an iPad adapter only or I still need to use the travel adapter on the iPad adapter ?

Shinji Hashimoto retweet Nintendo direct. So I guess there will be some Final Fantasy news, maybe FF7 release date.. or Kingdom Heart for Switch

answers as follows:-

1) yes but after purchasing it will still start downloading to your system memory. you can pause and cancel the download from the Home screen.

2) yes purchases can be re-downloaded. there is a shortcut in the User Profile section of the Eshop which list your purchases (Re-download)

3) https://en-americas-support.nintendo.com/ap...nintendo-switch

not sure if it's really useful for the reasons you have in mind ... do note software is usable per console/account at one particular point in time. one scenario which works (and is likely why you need to move data) is moving all data to a new higher capacity SD card.

QUOTE(hirano @ Sep 3 2019, 02:15 AM)
Noob question:
1) can we purchase games from the e-shop without downloading it yet? Havent bought my microsd card lol

2) purchased games are downloadable many times?

3) Data transferrable between different SD cards (under same account)?

the AC adapter for JP Nintendo Switch is listed as below:-

Input: AC 100V-240V 50/60Hz 1A
Output: DC 5.0V 1.5A/15.0V 2.6A

the voltage range is "universal" but do note the pin configuration is Japanese flat 2-pin head so you probably need an adapter to make it pluggable into standard wall outlets in MY

How cheap can get in Japan? I wonder adapter n power watt issue to use in Malaysia for Japan electrical items.

if you appreciate peace of mind more than other things definitely better to get local set from reputable seller.

QUOTE(jhleo1 @ Oct 22 2019, 12:23 PM)
Too high risk to buy there after think over n over. Better buy Malaysia warranty set.
