Hi guys, I'm planning to pick up a Switch soon which will be my first console ever. However I'm worried that there might be issues with Joycon since so many people complain about the drifting problem, lawsuit even!

So I wonder how many of you guys here have the drifting problem? Also I already got 1 3rd party iPega controller so I can just buy a 8bitdo or Magic-NS to use it right?

Lastly, it's ok to buy used game right? I might pick up a copy of BotW used if it doesn't affect the game in any way.

Thanks!

I know about the drift issue on the joycon prior to purchasing despite getting the maxsoft warranty. Got a 8bitdo controller just to get my mind out of the joycon drift.

Used game is fine and a cheaper option after digital copy

My joycons are since launch day and I got the drifting issue once only, just re-calibrate and all done, never happened after.

If you check the fix on youtube, there is quite a lot, not that hard to fix tbh.

Drifting issue is permanent as it will come again n again.
using WD40 spray can temporary fit it
buying additional controller is better option and ur hands feel less tired (more ergonomic?).

Hi guys, just got my Switch on Monday and playing Zelda BOTW, I played in handheld for 2 nights and last night I decided to play on tv, after playing for 2 nights the battery level is at 13% so I dock it to charge first before I turn it on to play, after charged for more than an hour I turn it on together my tv screen also on and showing the battery level now is 79% then I start playing BOTW, after played for 15 minutes I go back to home screen to check the battery level and it is now at 81%, so I continued to play and believe that the battery is still charging normally but then after 2 hours I go back to home screen to check and the battery level now only 85%, so is this normal? Is this mean the Switch charging became slow when playing in docked mode?

It's going to be released mid August in US. So maybe late August or later in September. Not that long of a wait. I would wait.

It's normal cause u cant expect the input of charging can exceed the processing of playing

sleep mode/ shut down mode charging = 100%

Giving that play game = 80% of processing
Charging speed probably = 20% speed

Just got my first Switch and Fire Emblem 3 House today, loving every moment so far! Although the console can get a bit warm at times but that's to be expected I guess.
